Nowadays every MMORPG dev team seems to target the same console kiddie audience. Dont you understand there is a LARGE group of players who came to EQ2 because of great memories we had and that we are becomming sad when realizing which direction EQ2 is heading...
For us the magic in MMORPGs was all about socializing and exploring, not about cowbells, free xp, making content easier, afk selling, etc. etc. etc.
Here's an interesting thread most of you prob already read, I wish the devs would also.... Its called 'the REAL reasons we loved Everquest'.
To me EQ2 is dying a little more with every patch....
