So after the latest update 19 and soon to come update 20:will the dmg of the ranger get really low? Maybe at first, but give it a few weeks and those of us committed to this class will figure out how to re-max that damage as much as possiblewill the solo ability of the ranger get better/worse? This one scares me a bit...I fortunately have a great guild and rarely solo...but I feel for you rangers that solo a lot, with stuns not being a sure thing now good luck...but again, we'll adapt and survivewhat do you think about the ranger now? do you still like it, or are you thinking of reroll to another class? Ranger for ever for meafter update 20 goes live, which other class can you compare the dps of the ranger with? No one will know until it goes live, SOE in the past has a habit of putting things on test and making tweaks with them the night before they roll out and not telling anyone
and which other class can you compare the solo ability to the ranger with? Again it's kind of a wait and see thing if you ask me, give it a few weeks after it rolls outThats all i think
because i really like how the ranger is, the only thing stopping me for playing as a ranger is that i'am afraid that the ranger will not be able to solo, do dmg/dps in the future...If you are afraid of the solo ability, I can see that...if you are afraid of the dmg/dps I say just wait and keep reading the forums. You will probably have to wade through post upon post of whining and complaining(some justified) but there is a good group of people here who will post what they can to help everyone out. I don't think we are going to be completely useless, but again these are all just the opionions of one ranger.
Good luck mate and chin up, we'll figure this out and I don't think it's going to be as bad as some people are making it out to be. At the very least we won't be spending nearly as much in poison costs!
hehe
I'm in the solo boat not cause I have to, but because I like seeing what I can accomplish before I have to go get help. I'm not into the idea of having to go get help for over 50% of my quests that does not appeal to me. Raid DPS? Well if I have the ability to compete sure I'm all for competition. However that's if I'm not required to get all fabled and mastered out just to compete with an above average equipped Mage, Scout, or Fighter. Right now I do not see a good impression. I will wait for tomorrow take my character to PoF and fight mobs I fought for 5 levels worth of XP and questing. From there I'll make a decision whether the game is still fun for me.
