I just started playing the game and I'm interested in becoming a Bard > Troubador. However, there's only a few things that would make me dedicate myself to the class and I'd like to know:

1) If Troubador's instruments are actually visible - meaning if they're equipped, will there be a physical graphic of my guy carrying around an instrument? I can't see myself playing this class if I don't get to see him actually play the songs.

2) My friend has been telling me about EQ1 and how difficult it was to play as a Bard. Is it the same in EQ2? He mentioned twisting and how it worked and its scaring me away a little bit.

Thanks in advance for your answers.

There was nothing difficult about playing EQ1 bards.  Infact, they were loads of fun.  EQ2 bards are very boring.  As stated above, there are no instruments to equip.  But the animations for some of the songs you play will include either a lute or a drum.  I guess we pull these out of our butts? EQ1 bards were so much fun because they were so different from every other class.  But a small handful of people complained, I guess about the twisting thing, so now EQ2 bards are basically a caster class.  *yawn*
