I think how deep lore is here compared to eq1 and eqlive can vary from person to person. However imho EQ2 lore is 10x deeper than the lore in EQOA because alot of things are set in stone. EQOA had to make alot of stuff up but had to keep some stuff in line with EQ1 in order to make it coherrent.
However I am really intrigued by EQ2 lore because of what developes it instead of basic, concrete text book examples in other games.
