I just picked up on a comment I read in another thread and immediately thought that it would make a really good class spell for a defiler, either as a new extra spell line starting in T8 or as a bonus spell in the upcoming expansion. How about we defilers get a dumbfire pet spell that summons a small 'pack' of wraiths that behave similar to the Warlock blob dumbfire spell - ie 4 little wraiths that are on a timer, attack the target of choice until it is dead and then hover in the area aggroing anything else that moves. I am not advocating that we are moved up into a higher damage dealing level so it doesn't have to have a particularly large amount of DPS, just a little something extra with a cool graphic effect. And the fact they remain aggro throughout the spell timer means you have to be a bit careful about using it in certain situations.

Edit: On further reflection, how about the dumbfire wraiths do not do physical damage, but draw mana from the target and feed it to the defiler?

Or can you guys think of something else you would like to see as a brand new spell line for us defilers?
