I took the training pet at 30th, why?
I have UA adept 1 and after 30 he holds his own very well. At 33 I send him in against blue and white mobs and rarely have to heal. Yellow cons depends on the type of mob.
I use my Grim Corruptor while soloing as well, again depending on the mobs.
For instance for fast killing of greens/blues (Tallon Patrolman/Tallon Grunts) I use the GC. All the underwater mobs in Zek I use the GC as well (even the 34-35th level ones).
In EL I rotate for the fun of it when killing the underwater mobs. I use the UA for the rest.
I never had the Fallen Hero and have never been disappointed because it made me learn better tactics.
If we ever get another respec I may go hounds but stick with it. I find I get faster experience steamrolling over the blues/greens then fighting whites/yellows.
The Grim Corruptor has been a great asset in groups when he is not fullfilling the master tank role. I have a lot of folks who were surprised at the GCs performance and several of the folks hated the hounds because they are so big and hinders their view.
So my final point is: The UA is not very bad especially if you have the lvl 20 training buff and I have never died because of him not performing well. I die because I pull that big group of mobs by accident )
