Don't make this ERROR!! When you swap out your two-handed staff for the one handed staff you LOSE your familiar's 2.9% crit bonus!! No, you don't lose the flappy book, it's still there. But it's bonus will never happen!!
Why? Look at the spell description. You can summon the familiar IF you have a two-handed staff equipped and you will add 2.9% crit bonus IF you have a two-handed staff equipped. That's TWO SEPARATE IF STATEMENTS!! Don't blow it by swapping out your two-handed staff because the second IF statement (which gets checked in combat after you cast each spell) will be FALSE and you will get NO crit bonus.
