I vote for a spear change as well.  I think the stats/effect is pretty good (IMO) except for the +spell dmg which makes no sense given the AA tree choices.  Make it +CA damage.

Ok, I will double-check it ..  I used it a couple times in combat and the number next it never changed enough though my target was taking hits (and losing health).  Maybe I wasn't looking closely...
