I understand why some people dont like this...

I understand why some people dont like this because of alts, but at the same time having something i can always be doing to progress my main is a welcomed change imo.

Lets be real here, with the current conversions I dont see a choice. Either take the right side or struggle holding aggro. Also most of the tanks lose a ton of survive-ability by taking right side.
