I got owned the first time when I got aggro off...

I got owned the first time when I got aggro off my pet.  The second time, I pet tanked him with my thrall and managed aggro a little better while chain healing and warding him. <div></div>

<div></div>I've given up on rooting mobs.  Usually I just ward and tank the hits.  I load up the mob the pet is on with as much as possible and AoE dot then tab to the one on me and try and stun it...

I agree.  I really started to feel effective after level 30.  Until then it was pretty mediocre.  If you want some fun DPS, get the dogs at 30 and cast em every other fight. <div></div>

I just used my respec to get the dogs instead of the 30 pet.  I'm much happier with the extra DPS, plus I love the look of my UA and 5 dogs chewing on a mob, hehe. <div></div>

I played a necro through to 67 in EQ1 and while there are a lot of things I miss ( and a lot I don't), I look at the EQ2 necro as a completely different class than the EQ1 necro.
