I used a carbonite battleaxe with an ash shield...

I used a carbonite battleaxe with an ash shield for a while, until I got my hands on some steel crescent axes. The agi bonus from those made the switch to shield for added defense much less...

Another use when fighting a single target...

Another use when fighting a single target solo:Start calm, stop fighting. Then run behind it for a backstab.... works a treat.
