for a shadowknight heal crits dont actually do much and you're points would be better spent elsewhere.if you solo quite a bit, or dont always have a full / balanced group, those 8 points into STA for hammer ground is very useful to buy a few seconds of time.

Hammer ground is also good as a non-encounter AOE in case you get multiple mob group adds (unintentional or intentional :smileywink<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.  Hit that and sprinkle tap veins on top . . . adds = locked as your AOE's should be able to keep them in check.  I will usually try to keep either hammer ground or death march refreshed for that purpose.
