Investigate the laboratory of a nearly mad gnemlin by the name of Bhoughbh who has taken over a portion of Maldura and needs your help cleaning up the mess he has made. His creations are running amuck and only you can help him pick up the pieces. Help him right his wrongs and get him back on the path to becoming one of tinkering’s greatest minds. This adventure is meant for 2 full groups!

To access this zone you must complete the line of quests for Bhoughbh in Maldura. Only one person needs the quest to access the zone.

Feel free to test this zone out. Its near completion but at a point where a lot of the fights can be tested. Let us know what you think! This zone is aimed at fun and not overly difficult.

Current issues:
None - the zone is flawless!

Just finished this zone with a bunch of mostly AOM raid gear level players. Have to say we had a blast, mobs aren't just tank and spank, but also pretty forgiving in terms of letting you figure out scripts.

Positive things:
Fun fights, good scripts. I love how some of the fights seem to particularly disable botting. Thumbs up for the moving circle/uncurable curse script & Final boss.
Boss fight not focusing on heavy incoming dmg, and letting priests have some fun with running around doing scripts is a very refreshing change.
Not enforcing 2 tanks and making it possible for scouts to offtank that one named that requires MT change.

Negative:
Not sure on the entire loot table after one run, and i don't mind the sub bosses to drop mediocre loot/xmute fodder, but kinda expected to see a somewhat decent loot table on Boss, considering he is in fact tougher then previous nameds having many scripts from those nameds combined into final fight. But we got pretty much 2 items of same quality as other nameds. Perhaps there's a rare drop table we just didn't get the luck to see.
But it would be nice if Boss would drop maybe 1 cool item, or raid infusers ? And quest reward 10plat seemed weird, tho since no one in raid could finish it, i don't really know if that's all there is to it.

All in all, a fun zone, but if there's no rare drops on Boss, and/or quest rewarding something desirable like raid quality infusers (if that exists?) i don't see much reason as raider to be running the zone past the first few weeks of expac going live and the drops in there possibly being upgrades still. I do expect to outgear the drops very fast, since i didnt see a single upgrade to my currently mostly AOM quality geared Fury. a few armor drops might potentially be upgrades tho.

being the scout tank in the x2 raid last night with anunnaki on the one named i have this to add the curse semmed to hit me rather hard even and imho need to be adjusted a tad lower to make to make the tank swap encounter more flexable for more casual pugs.

other then that the above post sums everything else up nicely

UNclebrig

The problems with the last boss are related to some art changes that were made to the zone. It should be coming in over the next few days with a fix to it. I will look into the stuff above and see what I can do.

In regards to the loot the stuff in there is between heroic and raid quality which is pretty much where you would expect a X2 zone to be. Can you be more specific as to why the loot was undesirable? The quest reward was made yesterday so should be in over the next few days. The final boss should have raid quality loot and is the only place to get the raid tier 1 breastplate.
|
i recommend increase in bpo's that drop then as well as recommend that you reconsider placing a t1 bp on another mob or have the t2 accessible early in cause gating t1 loot in a x2 is not acceptable. Also if that is the case BP's should be a pattern so at least the person receiving it can choose what they would like stat wise
|
He drops 1 BP and 1 Ranged weapon or Accessory every time with a chance at 2 rare items. He also has a chance to drop a relic armor piece. (fairly good chance actually)

Again if you can give me exact examples of why he loot isn't as good as you feel it needs to be we can address it. Just saying the loot sucks however doesn't help us much.
|
I haven't really looked at the gear personally but ill do I once over once patch is done for you.. still not thrilled about t1 bp's being gated like this but a chance at a relic I guess that should make it desirable enough to waste some raid time on it early on.
|
I was also in that raid with Uncle...I was on Kreox my Ranger, really enjoyed the raid itself, the fights were decent, strategies & designs were good. Last boss a little glitchy, but nice mechanics. Loot table was ok, but wasn't overly fond of the last bosses drops considering he was the hardest in the zone.

last boss dropped:
aITEM 1808213269 1269392539:Clockwork Cuirass/a

aITEM -2121536025 -1713167438:Endless Box of Cogs/a

aITEM 978638212 -976741021:a crate containing Bhoughbh's head/a

aITEM -44774609 -433764450:Rock Skin VI (Master)/a

Not sure these links will work here, but can copy/paste them in game in chat. I felt the BP was a little weak, the one I am currently wearing on ranger seems better & I believe I got it from an adv. solo.

Although I could link everything that dropped from this raid, I will not but I feel the raid itself is worth running a few times to see more stuff that drops & this raid will work for smaller guilds who do not raid all the time or those who wish to pug raids. It can also be used as a stepping stone for all guilds who raid on regular basis to help others gear up for the x4 raid zones.
|
Add to my post above: I am not a raider, not in a large enough guild to raid & usually don't have the time to raid, at least not at the times most guilds raid. As for Kreox, I have taken him into 2, yes 2, AoM raid zones with my guild, all we killed was trash & we put the raid together so we could all have some fun messing around & give everyone a feel of the raid atmosphere.

This was actually the first raid I have been in with Kreox that we actually killed bosses & finished the zone instead of focusing on just trash. Overall satisfied with my dps, finished in top 3 or 4. Enjoyed the experience of raiding with Uncle & the rest that were there. And as stated, I am not a raider or in a large enough guild to raid, but with this type of raid, I believe my guild members on Maj'Dul would also enjoy it. So, looking forward to running it some more & see where we go from there.

the bp is more then likely better then solo or heroic( have not seen heroic) but if your gonna geate t1 bp's like this then increase the drop rate to 2 bp's or put a bp drop off t1 raid mob is all im saying but i haven't not compared loot yet to solo/ heroic drops that i have links for yet
|
and make the bp's pattern based
|
Well, Gninja, when I am able to get back on, I will again compare the dropped BP to the one I am wearing & return with my assessment.
|
Considering the zone doesn't take that long to run and its on the fairly easy end of the scale We don't feel the need to increase the loot or put them on patterns. Having the only raid bp be in the x2 might have been a problem, but its just the lowest quality raid breastplate. There are others.
|
Yeah, ok, so I am wrong. The stats on the Clockwork Cuirass are better than the ones from adv. solos. Decent enough to be an upgrade for someone & makes the raid worth running again to get the correct one to be an upgrade for me haha.
|
ok as long as others out there then i guess one drop will do. When raid gets one that no one wants cause it doesn't have the stats they want we'll just SLR it in auction cause well also need plat for infusing our solo/heroic bp's until the one we want drops so i guess your right it'll be fine
|
Over all the gear that dropped out of the x2 is marginally better then heroic which is fine imho .

earings we looted are not consistent stat wise though out the zone links below.

aITEM -36956688 -1349672144owerhungry Stud/a
aITEM 2113101362 -565847996 0 0 0:Hovercopter Blade Earring/a
aITEM 324370557 -1458614786:MCP Eye Earring/a
|
also weapons comparision
the x2 weapons green and blue stat wise fall in margin which is fine
the only thing i would like to see happen is the x2 weapons get a very small boost to there Dr rating like maybe 1~2 points.

unclebrig

On The Malfunctioning Slaver, the first pillar that pops has a DPS check on it that is easily 10x higher than the subsequent spawns of it. First one took 1:30 to burn (we were like ~200 mil RW), rest were down in less than 20 seconds (we targeted them immediately after spawn for all sets.) I'm not sure if that is intended or not.

Final named is awesome. Had a lot of fun on that one. Only disappointing thing was the seeming lack of random spawns on the pylons. It spawned in the same location every time (save for when they all spawn at the end.) Bugs: Had a problem with the named despawning. Our tank went LD at the beginning of a pull so we wiped and waited for him, and when he came back, the mob wasnt targetable (we were able to get a target through pets though.) So we wiped that one to try to get it to reset and the named despawned completely. Not sure what caused it to trigger again, but it did finally show back up. Other bugs we saw you addressed in the OP.

These are the two things that stick out to me, rest of it seemed pretty straight forward and problem free from my limited perspective.

Also, +1 with the above post. The loot seemed a bit lackluster, but with only run through its hard to see the full loot table.

Cute zone, we couldn't finish though by the time people got onto beta and setup well ya know how that goes sigh
I liked the dust pan named cute lurrv it

Anyway the large immune golem sentry would not go away after killing the dinosaur robot named(sorry dont remember name). Entire raid had to run to the next named and commit suicide so it would stop chasing us even evac didnt work.

Sorry about proper names tired and figured you could read my encrypted message.

The loot seemed to be on par with what I would expect out of a tier between heroic and x4. I really was reluctant to say anything bad about the loot, since I ran it once, and can't see the whole loot table.

Gninja said: ↑

“He drops 1 BP and 1 Ranged weapon or Accessory every time with a chance at 2 rare items. Without seeing what they are, it's hard to judge, I'll just have to run it a couple more times to see what these are.

I'm just hoping that there is something worth the effort to put this together (which can take longer than running the zone at times.) Something that is unique and exclusive to that zone. For example, the loot that dropped in Rum Cellar (heroic tier) was relatively bad, so why did I run it a billion times? For the belts and shineys which were exclusive to RC and very very very nice. (and please don't make anything as rare as the RC belt ever, ever again.)

The quest that takes you through the zone now has a reward...

All of the below feedback refers to the Bhoughbh fight only.

1. The spiders being effected by player run speed. So we put in Quick Tempo and all but the one spider we are burning V lines it for the tank and wipes the raid. Short version... spiders spawn and wipe raid within 4 seconds if Quick Tempo goes in. And that's if they spawn at the bottom. That mechanic should be removed due to the size of the room. Instead I would recommend a mechanic that requires a scout tank. Perhaps something like if they spread out 20 meters from each other they wipe the raid. Either that or don't let bard speed buffs effect the spiders. Cool idea though and I give you credit for coming up with that Gninja.

2. The spiders again. They have some crazy pathing issues if they are up top in the middle and you attempt to bring them down. Typing /stayonthedamnramp didn't work. They try to path through walls where the balcony meets the vertical wall (railing). That and two spiders go one way and one spider goes the other way. Even if they weren't bugging out on the terrain this would be very difficult to manage before a raid wipe.

3. The portals. At 10% there are like 10,000 portals all over the place. Intended? Oh and they are staying up after the fight ends (win or lose).

4. The Cartographer. He needs to be blabbier in chat so we can get an ACT trigger for the person that has to kill him. Can you please give the person that has to kill him some kind of purple screen or something? Otherwise this is a pretty cool mechanic. His timing and hitpoints are good. The Cartographer stays up after the fight ends too.

5. Please don't let the Cartographer, portals and spiders be up at the exact same time. It's just too much.

Awesome job Gninja. Frickin awesome fun fight.

Edit: The guy that has to be crushed.... his add stays up when he's dead. We had to zone out. Next bug is if you zone out you're not getting a zone timer and have to start the zone over from scratch.
|
Ran this zone on Sunday night.

The named by the crushers with the rock golem adds: Is there a mechanic that makes it possible to reset the buff that increments to 200? We had it reset multiple times in the fight but couldn't pin down what caused it. Tested several scenarios but nothing was consistent as far as i could tell so i thought it might just be a bug so i'm reporting it here. Also, we had that buff get to 200 at one point but there was no effect besides a brief incurable detriment.

I will check out those issues and get some corrections made. Thanks for the feedback!

Yes sorry. I was making this thread from memory. I couldn't open ACT at the time of posting.

It is the Suppressor and pillar. The rest of my feedback stands. It's such a busy fight that people keep missing that Suppressor message. That person needs a visual slap in the face. A colored screen would do the trick.
