<DIV>Anybody know how many points you get on your faction bar for killing Ashen Monks? Is it a real miniscule amount of points? I'm not at the right level to even consider trying to fight any of those grouped monks, but I was just curious. I'm at the "Proving Grounds" series of quests (I need to complete this same quest roughly 40 freaking times to get Kindly to get it back to the "normal" task-like quests, and the mobs it asks me to kill make the quest, for me, span about 1-2 hours for completion <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.) I thought maybe there was a way to speed things up a bit.</DIV>

<P>each monk is a good chunk of faction... after doing all the quests and murdering harpies for exp i was only low ally... so I found groups of 3 or 4 solo monks linked together and would kill them... maybe 20 monks later faction was max ally</P> <P> </P>

Hmm, I can't say I've ever seen a solo ashen monk, where abouts do they spawn? <div></div>

Get a 58+ conjuror who knows how to play and has Elemental Vestment and go duo the epic monk groups <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />I can solo the lvl 55 16x disciple groups, but I need a partner for higher lvls and/or the 29x mob groups. So maybe a conj and a wiz/warlock/another conj <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

I know this haprpies only give 1 point of faction per kill. I will check Monks later tonight.

Harpies only give 1 faction per kill.  I pm'd a designer about this to see if it was as intended, and he said he passed it along to the person who is in charge of PoF design.  As a monk, I am killing disciples instead of monks, but they give 100 monk faction each as a comparison.  I'd guess you would get the same 100 disciple faction from killing monks.

They adjusted it in yesterday's patch <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  Harpies now give 50 Disciple faction.  Disciples now give 50 Order and remove 50 disciple.  I'd assume monks do the opposite now, but I do not kill them.  You guys have it very easy as you can kill solo harpies to get your faction maxed out rather quickly.  I killed a bunch just to be non KOS with Disciples again.
