So to much lag to even raid again 2 day

Pateras 11-07-2011 04:43 PM

same ;/

HarmonySDA 11-07-2011 05:04 PM

yeah this needs to get fixed... and soon

JohnDoe0057 11-07-2011 05:33 PM

Were used to dinner and a movie before being treated like this.

Luhai 11-07-2011 05:46 PM

We've been experiencing the same lag on Valor for the last 5 days. It's absolutely terrible.

Click some spells and then spend the next minute watching the screen if something happens.

ScouseReds 11-08-2011 10:20 AM

again no raid due to un playable lag , drunder was like a no go area so thought would try our kraytoc just as bad in there so raid was called ...so of to EoW challenge mode and still got a broken mob there aswell. ( fast enough to fix when it was broken last time and ppl getting cm loot from heroic names )

thought you would of learnt a lesson going back to PPTR EH again multi floored zones with lots of grp mobs with cc they all laggy. the player base is getting smaller and smaller and you still wont listen

logged out but tbh is this right are you not taking our money to supply a service in one way or another ?

instead of putting all the effort to new expac for the xmas rush fix the things that are of a more pressing issue and more logical to fix as it is all ready live

Jurak 11-08-2011 11:41 AM

kingela 11-08-2011 11:50 AM

Can we get answer please, i wanne know if its poss to raid, this is stupid. fix it

Pimmy 11-08-2011 03:51 PM

Any word on this?

This server side lag is insane. We can even do heroic dungeons like Drunder, because every time adds spawn on names there is huge lag and cant cast spells much at all.

Please fix it fast ! Been like this for a few days already!

Bremer 11-08-2011 04:13 PM

Same on Valor. Not playable.

TSR-JoshuaM 11-08-2011 04:25 PM

Please open support tickets with our network test attached. We need to track these closely as it appears to affect a decent amount of players but not everyone.

I need you to bring up a run dialog box. You can do this by pressing and holding the Windows key on your keyboard and tapping the R key.

In the box that pops up I need you to type cmd and press Enter (If you're using Windows Vista/7 press ctrl-shift-enter).

This is going to bring up an old “DOS box” don’t worry it’s just text.

You’ll need to type in the following commands one at a time. Remember to put spaces between all the words, unless there’s a special character like / or . in front of the word. Then you’ll want to keep that symbol and the word together.

If you’re having a lot of trouble you can also just copy and paste the text out of this email and into the DOS box.

These commands can take a while to run so please wait for the blinking cursor to appear since you won’t see any output to your screen. For the pathping commands you might even want to go grab some coffee, or a sandwich between lines.

So, all set? Here’s the commands:

   ipconfig /all > c:eq2info.txt

   tracert "your server".everquest2.com >> c:eq2info.txt

          (for example: unrest.everquest2.com, antoniabayle.everquest2.com or

          freeport.everquest2.com)

   pathping "your server".everquest2.com >> c:eq2info.txt

          (for example: unrest.everquest2.com, antoniabayle.everquest2.com or

          freeport.everquest2.com)

If you’re curious what you’re saving for us, try the commands again but without the >’s or the stuff after them. Go ahead, I’ll wait… Pretty confusing huh? Don’t worry I speak gibberish fluently and can translate it for you.

Ok now that you’re done with that, you’ll have a file on your hard drive called “eq2info.txt”. If you go into your hard drive you’ll find it right in the main folder. To get there, just do that Windows key and R trick from earlier, and type C: and press enter. The file will be in there. Just send that file into me, I’ll translate it and figure out what happened to your connection, then I’ll let you know. No worries it’ll be pretty painless, but we might need you to contact another company if it’s not something on your computer that’s doing this.

Opened a in-game support ticket with the eq2info.txt attached. LEts see if anything happens.

But IT IS NOT a client side problem. This problem exists on players from Finland, Sweden, Norway, Russia, UK, etc.

Belka 11-08-2011 06:39 PM

My trace always now have loses from 20 to 100% on Level 3 side, I've disconnects on each zoning and huge lags inside zone too. Can't even login now.

Here is gooled news about the network issue: http://www.zdnet.co.uk/blogs/mappin...tages-10024743/

I think there are 2 different issues - hardware one and network one, cause some people don't have any PL on level 3 and packet not even "going" through level3, but they still have spell lags up to 3-5 seconds ingame.

Sample traces:

Pateras 11-09-2011 02:04 PM

is there any update on this ? its been a while now

Pimmy 11-09-2011 03:02 PM

I dont know how well PINGs and such show the problem atm since lag might not show up until you start grouping or raiding.

For example heroic drunder zone named that spawns adds... when adds start to spawn all hell breaks loose and the whole group get multiple second delays in casting...

Anyway I hope they fix it soon. If the game is unplayable the whole week ... whatever I'll start doing might keep me away from the game...

Pateras 11-09-2011 03:54 PM

could we have an official update on the issue please ?

redver 11-09-2011 04:11 PM

Still unplayble by between 50-75% of our raid force. This is taking to long to fix if you add up the raiders suffering lag and those who cant raid without them your at risk of losing alot of customers here.Even if its not directly SOE fault its effecting ppl across the world so whos gonna fix it?

Monfar 11-09-2011 04:14 PM

3rd raid in a row we had to cancel.

NiNjADaFtY 11-09-2011 04:23 PM

I can't get the above to work, but it's always the same steps on the trace that return high pings, 70% of the time they're coming back higher than this, up to 500ms, step 14 coming back a lot higher than that too most of the time

13

  118

  155

  308

     4.69.139.163

  ae-22-52.car2.amsterdam1.level3.net

14

  118

  118

  119

     213.244.164.58

  vl177.amsixsw-2.sonyonline.net

We are working on the issues but there is the chance it is outside of our control. I am not part of that particular phase in the process but I'll do my best to provide information as it comes to me.

EvilAstroboy 11-09-2011 05:13 PM

This is rediculous and unplayable. Did SoE take all the server hardware from EQ2 and use it for their issues with DCUO? Sorry but this lag is unacceptable. A lot of us only play to raid, and at the moment you are not even providing that service to us.

Sesskia 11-09-2011 05:15 PM
