Read the FAQ and I'm still confused. How do you get the test server started when I don't have a testserver folder? I don't have the .exe file to get that started and no where does it tell me how to get it. Any help?

Here This is when I asked that question. It's only on streaming client now. It doesn't take that long to uninstall and reinstall using that client

http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=503413

I found that when using Streaming some things just would not render properly in the game.

So, I made a copy of my EverquestII file, renamed it TestServer and placed it inside my EverquestII folder. Then logged into the Test server with the streaming client and could see everything.. No long zone times doing it this way either.

Thats been an issue with the streaming client for a long time now. For some reason it just doesnt stream all the right files, so you end up with missing graphics.

so ok, I've downloaded the streaming POS client and I still don't have a testserver folder, what now?

ok so what am I missing?

ok left hand box top left click on options and go down past the other servers. test is at the bottom

The regions tab then click then scroll down to test

sorry for edits I've only been up an hour lol

Sabutai 08-03-2011 07:22 PM

Thanks clara, found that portion. However when I change the settings to test server and save the changes I am not able to load the game. I do not have a red colored icon labeled testeq2.exe in that folder, although it is there now, and all the FAQ portion of the how to log into test do not work. Got any other suggestions?

Ciara52 08-03-2011 11:15 PM

ok lets try this step by step

First - did you uninstall and reinstall using this link:

http://launch.soe.com/eq2/

second option - streaming client.

1. log in

2. click Options

Regions : click on Test server from the drop down box

There is no saving to do. Just click the little arrow at the bottom of that page to close

Green start tab should say update

click update. after it's done it should say play

That's all there is to it

Make sure you have the correct client

Good luck
