GU #51, Elements of Corruption, brings with it the much anticipated revamp of the Lavastorm zone! We've all spent many happy hours there slaying Sootfoots and those crawly bug guys, not to mention the trek up to Sol Eye! The zone you know and love will still be there. Nothing is being removed, but some very exciting additions are being made, not the least of which is easier travel through the minefield of lava pockets.

Note: With the Fighter Revamp being postponed, GU #52 will become GU #51 and be renamed "Elements of Corruption."

How High of level, is Lavastome shifting tiers or spanning the Tiers? (Meaning that 40's and 80's will be in one zone.)

Very cool...I'm kind of happy they are pushing back the fighter update to test it longer.

Do we have a date for this?

Will some of the non-fighter changes be included in this like the shard quests, the Heirloom system for shards etc?

Great! Now put some griffons or horses in Feerrott, Lavastorm, Everfrost, Zek, EL, etc...

There is:

Lavastorm: Portal from docks to Sol Eye, and in Sol Eye a port right to giants..

Zek: Catapult to DFC

EL, and other zones are too small to need one IMO.

Lavastorm content is being revamped similar to Everfrost. The new Everfrost content was ~42-45 or so. The new Lavastorm content *in existing areas* is 45-55. The totally new area of Lavastorm will have level 80 solo, group, and raid content.

As the size of Lavastorm is being increased, perhaps substantially, more transportation options become necessary. Lavastorm is getting additional teleporters and perhaps mounted transport.

I've been searching and haven't seen any dates. Is there a projected date for elements of corruption?

Dareena 02-09-2009 11:06 AM

To my knowledge, there isn't a listed date. Based on past GU, they're at least a month apart. So based on the fact that we were recently supposed to have GU 51 (before the Fighter changes were delayed), I'd say that you're still looking at 4 weeks or more.

Just a guess though.

Edit: link here
