Hello me and my GF are looking for a new Duo and it looks like a Coercer and Necro Duo would be fun.

Does or has anyone played this Duo with good results ?

Our main concern is leveling speed and non raid content and it looks like this combo may be able to do it ?

Should this combo have enough DPS and will the spells and buffs play nice together ? I think the aggro and CC issues would be under control but I have no idea how this Duo would work together in other aspects.

If anyone has played this combo and has some insight on AA builds or tactics to make them work best please let me know.

Thanks.

Hi!

I'm just getting back to the game after a break, but my Fiance and I play a Coercer / Necro duo all the way from 1-80 and it's great.

We have enough dps to drop things fairly quick. With the CC and a little bit of healing we can survive some pretty big fights and if i throw in a pet we can grind all day long....or at least until it breaks and one shots us

At high enough levels and with the right gear a Coercer / Necro combo can clear SoF (including X2s) fairly quickly and handel a decent amount of other stuff in RoK as well. Still experimenting with VoES and MC. If you can kill fast enough you can do all of Chelsith too.

Thats great news.

How do the skills/buff mesh or stack ?

Any conflicts or sugjestions on what AA builds to go for that complement the two ?

Thanks.

I normally don't use a pet when i'm with my Necro buddy... unless the pet is useful in a sense that it has a stun or ability to help us live. Spending conc on dehates and DPS buffs is more important than getting a charmed pet. (Depending on the pet of course.)

So Coercer pets dont do much at higher levels?

I take it the main role of a Coercer is CC and some DPS/Utillity then ?

Any AA lines that are prefered or working as intended : )

in a duo situation, coercers are CC and DPS. You won't outparse the necro, but you will reduce the need for healing considerably by keeping adds out of the fight and stunning/stifling/dazing the mobs. (at L76, with a combination of daze and stun spells I can keep the mob from attacking for about 20 seconds -- long enough to kill most things).

Most of this could be solo'd by a coercer, however it will be less dangerous and go much faster with the duo. T8 is a pain because of how hard the mobs hit but anything that isnt stun immune should be no problem for this duo.
