For long range people like people who use arrows is there a way to make it so when u double click the thing u wanna attack it shoots arrows instead of trying to use melee. This drives my friend crazy tht u cant use tht and u need to use a skill to shoot arrows. He prolly will never get away from wow unless i find away to fix this... thnx

Hit K to bring up your abilities book, right next to the Melee Attack button should be the Ranged Attack button (which doesn't show up on the hotbar automaticall). Drag it onto your hotbar and click it for Ranged Auto-Attack.

<p><span style="font-size: small"><span style="color: #993300">Why are you double-clicking? That just auto's what would be on the top of the right-click menu, which against hostiles is attack, which is generally the melee attack</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: small"><span style="color: #993300">As Supernova said, drag the rangedattack icon to your hotbar and select the mob you want and make sure the icon is not red (ie out of range)</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: small"><span style="color: #993300">Depending on the class, you will still need to hit the autoattack or a melee Combat Art after you stick the arrow in their butt or you will end up just standing there with an angry mob pounding you in the face</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: small"><span style="color: #993300">If you are using the rangedattack simply to pull, you can make a macro to let your group mates know who/what is coming, what ah use is: </span></span></p><ul><li><span style="font-size: small"><span style="color: #993300">/rangedattack</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size: small"><span style="color: #993300">/Inc %t</span></span></li></ul><p><span style="font-size: small"><span style="color: #993300">That will bring the mob running and let anyone close to you know that the mob is incoming</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: small"><span style="color: #993300">Oh, and some classes can use other ranged weapons than bows (mah frog assassin is speciallizing in shurikans, frog ninja's ftw <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />)</span></span></p>

There is no need to keep double clicking.  Place Ranged Attack as hotkey #2.  Tab your target, press 2.   Double clicking can get you into trouble sometimes and is much slower than using hotkeys.

Alternately you could just use the default hotkey for ranged attack... shift+~ (just hitting tilde is the melee attack toggle) Double clicking will always default to melee, you shouldn't really be double clicking anyway since it's far to easy to attack the wrong thing by accident with that method.
