<DIV>I have been mualing over some thoughts as to where SOE went wrong with EQ2 in the big picture of tradeskills.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I like the tradeskills and crafting UI. It has mutured nicely with time. Not perfect yet, but works well.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If I could make changes to EQ2...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I would pull all armor and weapons off of all NPCs and out of chest. Replace these items with gems, rare metals, dragon scales and other items that can be used in crafting.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Different gems can be used to imbue different properties.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I would allow weapons/armor to be imbued multiple times with a slightly higher risk of destroying the item totally each attempt.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Rare metal weapons and armor have a better chance to survive multiple imbueing then regular metal of same level.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>SOE sort of headed along this path when they pulled furniture off vendors and gave recipes to carpenters to make the stuff. Let's carry that farther and remove everything that can be crafted off of vendors, off of mobs and out of chest.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This would do alot to tie the adventuring back into the need for crafters.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Syrtinis/Richard of Test</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

I'd change the dmg on most scout classes so they can out damage plate fighter classes.  What a crazy idea this is, having more dmg for less mitigation, but I think I could roll with it a bit.
