<DIV>I started a swashy after reading that they're good solo'ers. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I solo mainly cause of time and since I randomly roam about the countryside, not content with just constant grinding. I want to pick out which class will be the best rogue-tank. I like tracking, when I find a target, I like to take them out quickly, I like dual weilding and I love stealth. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I don't do any PVP. Brigand, swashbuckler, or assassin? I wouldn't mind trying out a ranger either cause I like ranged combat, but I was under the assumption that if a critter got into melee range with a Ranger, that it's most likely time to flee. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Any suggestions for the most self sufficient, rogue-tankish class? I don't need to offtank epic named critters, but I'd like to go toe to toe with a ^^^ group 8-9 levels below me.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>t. </DIV>

<P>  Well as a swashbuckler who has soloed almost 45 levels solo Id say we do ok solo.  Its not that I prefer soloing just time makes it hard to group.  When I do group I have found Im an effective light tank.  It takes a bit more work than it did for my paladin but I can do it.  </P> <P>  If you happen to get in a group with a good tank its also nice to sit back and just smack the hell out of the target.  Either way I found swasbuckler very satisfying.  </P>

Brigands get higher mitigation through self buffs than we do. This can give them an edge. However, we get better aoes which gives us an edge against group mobs. Either way, with the right AA (STR,STA or WIS) and gear you should have no trouble soloing green ^^^s. Even without AAs it can be done. <div></div>
