The new detailed values for mitigation and avoidance now provide a better way to interpret the defense benefit of casting Aqueous Spirit. At lvl 45 with Adept I, casting Aqueous Spirit increases my avoidance by 0.6%. So in other words, I have a 0.6% better chance at completely avoiding a swing from a lvl 45 enemy attacker. Not exactly ground breaking, but I thought it was interesting. I really like the new way mitigation and avoidance is displayed.

You make a good point. Not ground breaking - but enough for me to keep it up permanently when I solo. :smileytongue: Every little bit helps.

Daric

Level 37 Mystic

The Old Guard

Najena Server

True, every little bit does count. Thanks for the report Kala :smileyhappy:

If you were to ask a few tank classes out there how much, percentage wise, some of their defense oriented buffs added to mitigation or avoidance, you're not gonna hear many saying 2% or more. It may seem minute, but it definately helps, and shows that SOE's system doesn't let these seemingly small effects slip through the cracks.

I always keep Aqueous (or formerly Water Spirit) up on my Berz or whomever happens to be the main tank.
