I believe the quest is marked as level 25 but I don't know as if there is a real restriction on doing them. You have to physically goto the druid rings, collect an item, accept the quest, goto a portal trainer in your home town, go back to the druid ring (the trainer opens a portal for you) and complete the quest at the ring. Then you have the ability added to your spell book.

The animations for them are neat

With the disclaimer that it's still in Beta, when I took my level 9 Fury to the Greater Faydark Druid Ring I did not get the quest. I'm guessing that it's something that's going to become available between 20 and 25.

its level 25. furys and wardens get ports to antonica, commonlands, butcherblock, gfay, and steamfront mountains. we can port other people but they need to grab a leaf from the druid ring first. Wizards and warlocks get three ports, ant, CL, and gfay. they can port other people but they have to buy their components, even when they want to port themselves. Our ports cost us nothing. they have a great casting animation, im really happy about them.

Message Edited by Sylphier on 11-05-2006 08:25 PM

Just to confirm, players have to be grouped with the warden casting the port? Are there seperate solo port spells? Do they require gathering a leaf by the warden?

EQBetaman wrote:Just to confirm, players have to be grouped with the warden casting the port? Are there seperate solo port spells? We don't need to gather leaves to port, but other non druids have to. I know i was able to click on a port that another druid summoned whom i was not grouped with and i was able to port to that zone because i had the spell, but not sure if non druids need to be grouped or not.

|
you don't need to be grouped because it's not l;ike evac.. it just makes this clicky ZI (like the ools ZIs) in the world and anyone who's visited the ring it goes to and collected the leaf can use it.

|

So I take it these leaves are not consumed, more so as sort of a quest completion than an item that is stored in the inventory?

I can't imagine they would make people run to the druid rings and carry leaves with them all the time to use a port spell. But who knows.

The Portal Spells are nice .. i would collect all the Leafes

Its allow you to travel fast to CL/ANT Spires to KOS, to Kelethin and to the Butcherblock Docks ...

|

As for the Non druids....they have to gather the bush leaves in order to use the portals. Tried this on a friend of mine. Don't believe you have to be grouped because I can use other druids' portals they left up and I'm not grouped with them. Once he harvested the bush, he was able to click on my portal. He didn't' see anything in his inventory so it makes me believe that the character gets flagged of some sort.

The leaves gathered by druids during the quest are consumed as a scribed portal spell.

Message Edited by BlackVelvet2 on 11-14-2006 09:43 PM

again, does anyone know for sure what the min lvl is required for when we can do the lvl 25 quest?

|
Considering my Fae Warden is sitting at 24 and can't get the quest, it would seem level 25 for the level 25 quest.

hmm, now the retorical question is how many aa's can my warden get before he locks at 25!!!
