I'm returning  to my level 50 Warden toon after leaving the game in April 2005, to make this short and sweet...I feel like a total noob. Mobs drop $ now, everyone is rich as hell and rides around in uber mounts. To make matters worst, actually much, much, worst my warden is COMPLETELY different. His heals SUCK BALLS and everything I love about being a warden is either watered down or gone. I did noticed an increase in our regens, but is that any good? Now its nice that our higher level regens actually are upgrades but not being able to drop bigger insta heals than the templars really blows. Did they fix the druid aggro issue, do our regens stack? And, well, how do I go about playing this "new" lvl 50 warden anyways? What do I do in groups, what can I solo, etc etc...<div></div>

<div></div><div></div><p>The heals don't suck; every one of our heals stacks and the amount of hps we can put out outweighs the lack of burst. It's a bit harder now I guess than it used to be where you waited til tank was yellow or 50% throw one heal then wait for tank's hp to drop down again.. but we're still very effective healers. If you want the large heals and don't want to relearn the class or won't be happy with anything but the biggest green numbers then you should prolly reroll, but if it's just cuz the numbers dont' LOOK too impressive/effective to you atm then I'd say try the new warden out first before passing judgement.</p><p>As for how you should do things..</p><p>I normally get single target regen up when tank's around 80-90%, then when he dips down into yellow toss out the large heal and maintain the regens from that and the normal regen. if it's not cutting it, throw in small heal and if the mob dps is STILL too much get duststorm up because the new knockdown proc on it really helps cut down dps. Also spores helps a lot too because it does tend to proc quite a bit despite it saying it's only 8% chance.</p><p>Message Edited by Dragonrealms on <span class="date_text">02-12-2006</span><span class="time_text">02:14 PM</span></p>

sorry but i can not believe that you are asking for help on how to play a chr you leveled up to 50 ...he is a clue .. make a new chr nd level it up to 20 or so and relearn your class or ... dont shop on E-bay anymore.-Dax<div></div>

If you check his post history he has only made one other since April 2005 so he may have not played the game since then. In this case the Warden class is very different from when he last played.Wardens do make excellent healers however, they are just different to the pre LU13 Wardens</span></div>

Like I said my Warden now feel like a completely different toon, how his timing with heals work (I used to just spam), his DPS is much less now and his buffs seems to be a bit better. The regens do tick much faster now so thats a good sign however do they stack with other druids? For example if I'm in a group with another warden will our cholor and verdent rapture stack??</span></div>

<div></div>your direct heal regens will (sylvan waters, VR, and gale of healing), but chloro and chlorostorm won't.

Druid heals are different now- no more enormous single-target heals- but we can actually sustain a higher level of constant healing than any other healer in the game. What's more, we can do it with higher efficiency than any other healer in the game. It's not the same as playing in april, but we can definitely get the job done. Keep your HoT up, use your big heals to top the tank off. Don't be afraid to supplement with your group heals when someone takes some spike damage.Oh, and don't underestimate the amount of healing that your spores can do.<div></div>

<div></div>If you have to chain-spam those heals (or any more than a sylvan here and there ontop of your regular hot) expect to go oop fast (even with a large ammount of power regen).

Yes I noticed our regens are a lot better, there's a big difference between the one heal per second tick now and the one heal every three seconds of the old warden. On the flip side I think a healer really makes his money when the health bars are fading fast and what was once our forte is now a major crutch. Heals that used to top casters and scouts in an instant now are now touch and go since I have to wait for the regens to do its work...unfortunately time is what I don't have when the mage is getting aggro. Maybe I'm not used to it yet but the lost of those big VRs insta healing for 650-800 then ticking for 150-250 really, really hurt. Now everytime my tank health drops below 50 I panic because I can't bring him up fast enough to deal with the brust damage. God forbid should anyone else get hurt.<div></div>

<div></div>You have a 1.5 second group heal.  That should take care of those pesky mages.  And then you have the tree.

StaticLex 02-13-2006 11:57 PM

<div>I thought spores would be awesome too but it's not nearly as good as I expected.  A well equipped tank won't be getting hit often so it will of course trigger alot less.  If you are playing with a poorly equipped tank they will be a siv for HP anyway and it will have little effect.  IMO spores seems to work best if you are in a group with a necro or conjuror pet tanking mobs since they have no mitigation and massive HP.</div>
