I am used to playing either warden or SK so I am wondering how well do we solo? I know we are a scout class, but what about the fact we have offensive and defensive pets.

The beastlord is more of a brawler with a pet for the early levels. A lot of what they do is very similar to brawlers without the FD. They are good damage, especially once you start to get advantages and primals (which is where the pet really helps). The Offensive and Defensive pets aren't really meant to be huge dps or tanks, but more allow you to use your best attacks. They don't really become scouts with a lot of flanking and stealth attacks until you begin to get GM pets. At that point you have the tools to go through fights pretty fast, even in Spiritual stance.

So they are like the conjurors? DPS?

See, most other scout classes either are utility, or Dps. Are we DPS?

We can switch between T1 DPS and T2/Utility (think Dirge/Trouby area). Feral Stance is pure DPS. Spiritual Stance is decent DPS, power, CB, DPS/Haste, Pot, etc procs for the group.

Thanks for the info. Not quite what we were in Eq1, but should be interesting to dual with my Warden
