Thanks for the ideas. I'll see if I can't find some of these potions on the broker.

I had been given the impression that you couldn't stack potions. Is this true? Or will I be able to have several active on me at one time? Again, sorry for the "n00b-ish" questions, but I have never found them a requirement before, so never tried.

You asked if they were doing much damage to me... Not really when taken 1 at a time, but in groups they can chew through me right quick if I'm not careful. Groups of monks can stifle you and chain stun you. (Funny how we're not supposed to chain stun, so our stuns got reduced, but mobs do a decent job of it...)

I'll give it a shot next time I can find some time when the guild isn't raiding.

~Sir Hawke Holyblayde, Champion of Drednever

Yea I tried this over the weekend, only gave it one try, had to kill 75 mobs in 30 minutes, I got about 40-50 or so killed, got lost a few times, I think it _MAY_ be possible, but its is VERY VERY HARD. The mobs wernt really that bad, I was using a 2 hander and in offensive stance and could fight 5 at once... but the ammount of DPS you'd need to kill 30-40 more is just crazy, I wonder if they even tested this for all the classes. Sure I could go do it again using crazy ammount of potions to boost my dps.. but.. come on, this is a solo thing, what kind of solo player would be even close to be able to do this? heh

Well, tried the int potion, kept thorns on me the entire time, liberal use of potions/manastone to ensure I never ran out of mana...Best attempt so far I got 67. I just don't see how it is possible to complete. ~Sir Hawke Holyblayde, Hero of Maj'Dul

can i suggest also using a beholder totem and a spirit of the wolf totem, you will move around much faster and beholder totems stack with power drink regen, hope this helps.

I tired these with different totems, defensive stance tanking groups, offensive stance killing them solo fast, and vice-versa. I know the zone, it's not hard to learn after the monks punch you off the top level into the water at the bottom and you have to run all the way back up. One tip, always have your back to a wall if possible. The most aggrivating thing was the mobs that didnt drop shards at all, this may be patched now, but i haven't felt like trying lately. I just can't kill that fast. Tank 'em yes. DPS 'em, nope. I think it will really depend on your set up. I can see where it could be possible, but I geared my guy to be max defense to hold up and wear down opponents. Maybe a more offense oriented pally could do it, but it would be a real challenge. Not worth the time for me, especially since there is no xp involved unless you complete it.

I was set up in full offensive mode. (Well, as offensive as I could get, anyway). Mana regen wasn't a problem.I can't try the xego devout armor you mentioned earlier because I don't have the spare cash to buy a bunch of xego off our inflated market (Everfrost). Safe fall would probably help (especially on the instances where you see one waaay below you), but I didn't ever get punched off of a cliff, so that wasn't an issue for me.I will need to try the spirit totem for speedy feet. I didn't think of that, since I usually ride my horse around. maybe that'll boost me those extra few kills.~Sir Hawke Holyblayde, Hero of Maj'Dul

As an update, I just tried with the wolf totem and got to 71, and was in process of killing number 72 when time ran out. So, I assume if you're flawless and go full offensive, use int potions, SoW totems, damage shields, manastones, clarity potions, and aren't afraid to red-line yourself, then you could theorhetically make it.Kinda crap that some classes have zero problems doing it with no special potions or gear, though. Maybe in a future trial there'll be some mob that hits like a truck and is very resistant to magic, so you have to toe-to-toe them for long periods. I'm sure guardians would like that just as much as I would. ~Sir Hawke Holyblayde, Hero of Maj'Dul

Yeah, as stated above, it's doable. I finally completed it, with 3 min and 14 sec left. Holy crap, I'll never do that one again. :smileyvery-happy:~Sir Hawke Holyblayde, Hero of Maj'Dul

Yep, i have done this instance and I found it refreshingly fun. I used my consecrate master one and I was in offensive stance the entire time. I used my AE a ton and some pots, including a wolf totem to run a little faster. All in all I got my pebbles with 3 minutes to spair.

Soon it will be Sagacious Uzhiel Emeraines'Toy the Dedicated.......

<3

Jonaroth wrote:lol so now you are "Hawke, the Fox" now?

I wish. The only reward for that is 15 pebbles (same as the other one on that floor) and another quest added to my "completed" list.
