<DIV>Hey, quick question, I have two very nice t6 fabled armor, gloves and bracers, with mitigation around 430 (one is lvl 56, the other 54).  To upgrade to crafted legendary I"m going to lose a ton of mitigation.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Am I going to notice a huge difference in my mitigation vs lvl 70 if I make the change or stick with the fabled until I can upgrade to something close to 430 (the highest I've seen is 420)</DIV>

First off Crafted is not legendary anymore. Second off.  One of the goals in KoS was to create a raid -> raid progression from T6 to T7 thus T6 raid loot will be better than crafted and most group dropped gear.  So with that in mind if you have a T6 fabled item it is better than anything crafted you can get there are some exceptions in jewlery depending on what you need stat and resist wise.  As for level to level.  I have noticed that with the higher level on some items it is possible that a lower mit value will result in better mit percent.  Though I would not go down too much.  For example Xegonite armor has 1 less mit than Cobalt but because of the level difference at level 70 it is slightly better.  But losing 10 Mit or more is more than likely not going to give you much of an increase if any because of the level of the gear.  I'd suggest you farms some of the group instances or do the Claymore line of quests to get some nice upgrades. <div></div>

Depending on which school of thought you belong to, you lose 15% off the listed mitigation value of a piece of gear either when you are 15 levels above it or when you fight mobs 15 levels above it.  So if you are using a level 50 BP with 400 mitigation while fighting a white con at 65 it will only be giving you 340 miitigation.  <div></div>

Stick with what you have until you upgrade to better t7 legendary and fabled drops.  Crafted xegontie is awful compared to plate dropa from gates, courts, let alone cold forged.  From the 430 standard mit in t6 you can go to 500+ t7 pieces, even the relic is nice stuff.  lots of legendary too, class hat, claymore quest rewards, cuirass of protection, etc... <div></div>

<P>I dont knows very well how it works, but i'd say experiment it. I have gem encrusted gaunlets fabled from court and those that drops the black dragon in PoA. Raw numbers says that fableds t6 one give me more mitigation and in persona number says too, but when you put cursor over it, the PoA legendary one give me 1% more mitigation than T6 fabled, having less mitigation number.</P> <P> As i say i dont understand well and i dont know if raw number is bad or the % is shown when you put the cursor over, but is extrange. </P>

<DIV>The problem is experimenting gets expensive.  Either you have to buy the item and attune it only to find its not going to help you, or you loot the item, attune it, discover it's no good and you lose the money you would have got from selling it.  Either way you're out several plat without a useful piece of armor.  I wish they would somehow allow you to see the affects the item will have without attuning it.</DIV>

Actually myself and a number of others have been asking for a change to the UI that would allow you to roll over and see the % mitigation for some time. <div></div>
