evil pally possible?

<div>I'm going to make an alt on one of the new pvp servers with a few of my current guildies. I play a 51 pally now, and really like it.  But the other guildies want to start an evil guild.  Since you choose your class at lvl 1 now, can I choose a paladin and then betray to Freeport and still remain a pally?  I like the shadowknights too, but prefer the pally i think.</div><div> </div><div>Thank you</div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div>PS I dueled a same level bezerker the other night, and he was wasted in seconds! hehehe! </div>

<font size="4" color="#ff0000">   Although the betrayel quest is supposed to change significantly, the changing alignments is still the same.  If you start as a Paladin in Qeynos and then betray to Freeport, when you finish the betrayel quest you will be the evil counterpart ie (Shadow Knight).  Your spells will be all apprentice 1 too, no matter how updated your Paladin spells were.  It is not possible to start a Paladin from the Freeport side btw, just threw that in case someone did not know.  <span>:smileywink:</span></font><div></div>

<div></div><div>Well think of it from this Angle, or a Role playing Angle.</div><div>As a Betrayed Evil ( Troll / ogre /DE etc ) you have forsaken the tyrant to become a paladin.</div><div>Who says that paladin has to be good and like making daisey chains?.</div><div> </div><div>For instance your culture is still the same if not your city !.</div><div>For instance ,, a DE paladin is insulted by some one , a high elf would just walk away but as a DE your cultural code of honour means you Must beat seven kinds of living £$%^ out of the person and thus show them the error of there ways ).</div><div>A good paladin would be honour bound to bring the richeousness of his her its god to undead where as a Troll one would have fun out of destroying them.</div><div> </div><div>On the non roleplay side then a shadowknight is as good as an Evil Paladin as your going to get, you can still be honourable but there YOUR set of honour codes , not any one elses.</div>

They've said that they are going to be implementing a high level betrayal quest. Now, I love being a paladin, I just do not like Qeynos. I prefer Freeport. I would love to betray to Freeport, but I would NOT want to be level 60 and have to sacrifice all my spells to be app1 of an SK. I don't know exactly how the high level betrayals will work, but if they do allow you to keep your class, I would so be first in line to jump the fence!<div></div>
