<DIV>I ran into a problem when choosing tier6 legendary jewelry.    There are basically 2 types:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1.  Pearl - sta, wis, int.  Best for mages and priests.</DIV> <DIV>2.  Vanadium - sta, agi, str.  Best for fighters and scouts.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You can get both pearl rings and vanadium imbued.   However, only vanadium can be imbued with str, sta or agi.   I chose 2 vanadium rings.   Being Paladins, we need a balance of stats including int and wis so I got a pearl earring and bracelet.    I wish I could have gotten an imbued pearl ring of str <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I added a couple of hex dolls with wis and int as they were both a bit low.  I think that all our stats including int should be at least 100.   Most fighters go full vanadium.  I thought that would be unwise for a paladin as we need a balance of stats.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I also noticed something about cobalt weapons:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Cobalt Battle Hammer - sta, wis, int (priest stats)</DIV> <DIV>Cobalt Long Sword - sta, agi, str (fighter stats)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Being Paladins, we are priest/fighter hybrids.    I have found that I like the batttle hammer (gives me about +5 to spellcasting damage) better but i like the sword too.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In choosing tier6 items, my goal has been BALANCE.   I think the key to the strength of the Paladin now is balance.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thoughts?  str/sta/agi vs sta/int/wis?</DIV> <P><SPAN class=time_text></SPAN> </P><p>Message Edited by Rochir on <span class=date_text>11-07-2005</span> <span class=time_text>03:44 PM</span>

I was debating getting an imbued cobalt scimitar (STA/INT/WIS, low 1.4 delay) for my 1H slasher to even up the WIS I lost from the Spaulders of Forgotten Glory (regular Poet's Palace fabled drop), but I decided to go with the flamberge instead. I'll make up the WIS later, there's plenty to be had, and I love the flamberge's look.

Slasher - Cobalt Flamberge.  Shorter delay, more procs (in theory) and it looks very cool Pierce - 1 Hand Cobalt Spear - Very cool looking as well. Crusher - 1 Hand Cobalt Battle Hammer - Looks like junk. 35 Points of Wisdom = 100 to all resist or 2.8 Resist points per 1 Wisdom. I'm using 1 Van ring, and one dropped ring.  (Other imbued ruby rings for the stat cast)  Fabled Necklace and Tact Earring (silent city drop).  Looking mostly at increasing AGI now.  I have a cobalt Tablet on the way as well.  Will probably get some pearl stuff made for tanking casters / off tanking. STR gear doesn't seem hard to come by these days.  There are also some nice WIS Helms and Pants that drop in Poet's and Silent City.  But to be honest, a few points in wisdom here and there doesn't make a huge difference.  Our defensive stance makes the difference.  I also carry lots of potions with me.  The normal resist T6 potions add 300 to 2 or 3 resists.  To match that I would have to have add 107 points of Wisdom.  So I carry the potions and other resist gear.  If I know something is heavy on the cold damage, I'll put on my necklace with 557 to cold, a cold potion, maybe some other cold gear (right side gear).  I don't nuke much when tanking, so INT isn't a big deal.  I like to hit difficult stuff, so if I'm OT/MA, I'm mostly in Defensive stance to peel adds.  If there is a difficult encounter going on, I can peel a mob off the MT (in the beginning of a fight) and keep him isolated.  Healing and what not.  If I don't have to peel, then I'll throw the offensive stance out and mash hotkeys.  Pearl rings would help here...  More so than STR ones.  STR gear is so easy to find these days. Our offensive stance is very nice now with the +130 to STR and INT, but I'm usually in the MT raid group or tanking myself.  <div></div>

The stats on assault axes have been a bug since release. The weapon was originally a 2 handed weapon but then changed to be a 1 handed weapon and the stats were never changed. The devs do know about this and have said it will be fixed when they readress weapon stats. Their plan is to eventually take another pass at the T6 imbued weapon stats to add some more variety. Most likely they will just be adding some STR/AGI weapons to the mix currently consisting of STA/STR/AGI, STA/WIS/INT, and WIS/INT. Once that is done they will be setting all unimbued weapons to the same stats so that the act of imbueing a weapon will only add a proc and not affect the stats. They will also be changing the stats on all weapons from all the other tiers to match the new pattern and making sure that non pristine weapons for all tiers match the same pattern to. When this will happen is unknow but it will probably not be for a few more months atleast. So you can laugh if you want to but the imbue is working as intended, it's the unimbued weapons that are actually currently broke. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

As far as rings go, you can get a pearl ring imbued with stamina.
