Skills, etc. are different with the basics that we can heal and tank being constant. I have a Paladin Guide that should be useful to you. We can res, but not until the mid-40s (just like EQ1).

<DIV>Actually Pally's had a rez spell at 22 then a better one at 39 then 50% at 49. all in all though  I still think pally's are the best just wondering about a templar, but then I couldnt' tank.</DIV> <DIV>Thanks for the info</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>We get a res at 44 I believe that resses with half hp and mana when ressed, takes 200 some odd mana and refreshes quickly.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Morsakin </DIV> <DIV>49 Paladin - 66% in!</DIV> <DIV>Unrest</DIV>

<DIV>The level 22 and 39 rezzes were sometime during the Luclin era, though.  They were introduced along with the other gradations for priest classes.  Originally, our first one was at a fairly high level (49?).  It was a long time ago.</DIV>

Rez? Like in resurrect people? What's the name of that "res spell" then?I check the spell list at eq2.ogaming.com and couldn't find any spell that gives a Paladin the oppurtinity to res ?

It's called Elixir of Resuscitation, not sure why ogaming doesn't have it. Check Boomjack's guide, I'm sure it's in there..44Elixir of Resuscitation Resurrects a dead target. The caster cannot be in combat.

<DIV>Back in the Old days you only received 2 Rez's, You received Revive at Lvl 39 and then you received a 90% rez at Lvl 59. it has since been changed.</DIV>

I'm curious, why do people care so much about a non-combat rez in EQ2? All it does is save you what is generally a fairly short walk back to your shard.

Less debt than revive.

And if the priests again forget to hand out rez stones, then a rezzing paly can take over this part. Also Rez places are allwas outside instanced dungeons if you rez you will not be able to reenter for hours. For the difference in debt i am not shure if there is any, yes you will get more debt if you revive but i think you get that amount back when you get your shard back (cannot say it exact the same but because i did not check the exact numbers of my debt).

I can certainly understand it in the case where it is difficult to get back to your shard. But as far as debt goes, all a rez does is make it so that you don't have to recover a shard. You have exactly the same amount of debt if you are rezzed as if you just revived and picked up your shard.I guess not enough people have read up on the game before playing, judging by the number of times I've seen people in easy access spots (in oakmyst well away from any agro mobs is one I've seen plenty of times) lying dead shouting out for a rez.

Wrong answer Hanse. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>EQ, when it went live, had the ONLY rez for Paladins at level 39 for 0% XP and level 49 for only 50% (which clerics got about level 29 or 39 I think). </P> <P>With Luclin we got the 90% rez at level 59. </P> <P>With LDoN we were given an entire range of varying level XP rezzes from the 20's and up as clerics received the same line in the same expansions, only better and earlier, with differuing degree's of XP restored depending on spell level.</P> <P>And at first, when EQ1 originaly went live, we were not even going to GET an XP giving rez. Revive was going to be it at 49.</P>

<DIV>Gilfalas is right.</DIV> <DIV>To date Pallys in EQ got Rez at 22 (0%), 30 (10%), 35 (20%), 39 (35%), 49 (50%), 55 (75%) and finally L59 for 90%.</DIV> <DIV>In Eq our rez was very usefull especially in raids where people (read RANGERS) needed rezzing without breaking a cleric off the CH chain.</DIV> <DIV>Solo our rez was a usefull tool only 6% below a clerics standard rez (not counting thier AA100% job).</DIV> <DIV>Its really the solo rez i miss most but with shard recovery and not having to have a set of CR gear its worth the loss.</DIV> <DIV>Im not at a level to see how usefull our rez in EQ2 will be, prolly best to just get a rez chip from the cleric :smileyhappy:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>There was a recent thread on death that was posted in the EQ2 patch window that stated that receive the same amount of debt from a rez as compared with a revive/shard recovery.  The only difference is the walk needed for the shard recovery.  I would like to know if there are any rezzes that pay some debt back (e.g., high-level cobat rezzes).</DIV>
