Kick line ability

I have a question:Our kick skill at level 5 does crushing damage, while all the upgrades from 19 and over do piercing damage.I read somewhere on these boards that we must raise our piercing skill and keep it maxed in order for the kick line to work at full potential and I wanted to know how much of this is true, since I rarely use piercing weapons (so far at least).Thanks.<div></div>

For combat arts you normally just need the skill of the actual equipped weapen, it doesn't matter what kind of damge it does. I never uses piercing weapons, and i don't have any noticeable problems with the kick skill.

It does not affect it.

It does piecing damage.  It does not mean you need your piercing skill for it to hit.  It is just the TYPE of damage it does (ie Fire dmg, Cold dmg, Slashing dmg, etc).
