I just got EoF expansion and (KoS). My friend picked up EQ2 and we thought about giving it a try.Ive been looking at the SK lately as a rather interesting class. My friend and i will mostly be duo'ing. We have played a Warden/Brigand and Defiler/Bruiser (upto around lvl20). It was fun killing named mobs and ^^^ heroics in dungeons with Warden/Brigand. We could kill white ^^^ heroics without any bigger problems, and we could take on named heroics ^^^ around our level (if it was too hard we usually killed it when it was blue). Now i wonder if a Shadowknight along with say an inquisitor could do the same?Any "optimal" healer a SK would benifit more from when fighting heroic content? My friend likes to play a healer but he doesnt like the fury . It basicly boils down to the other healer types. I hread something about SK/Inquisitor being quite nice.Any input would be really helpful, thanks

you can always mix and match at a later date. it's all relativly balanced its just a matter of how they do what they do and if you find it appealing. you'd be supprised what can work as a due, SK and Inq should work well

Shame he doesnt like a fury, Ive worked with one a few times and we took things down together we had no right to.. they compliment each other nicely.

Give a defilier a try too; a guildie has one and we always do well fighting along side.

If you're duo consists of SK + Healer Class, I doubt it matters which so long as the player is good. I used to group at lower tiers with an Inquisitor in my guild and he was amazing (Tokejuo ftw). My wife rolled a Templar and we've duoed a lot and got to the stage we work really well together, although admittedly sitting side by side in real life might help speed up our reactions, talking in real time etc.

SK/inq is a monster duo if you spec the inq for dps.the healing power of 1.5 healers, and both having mid spectrum dps. Yummy. you'll be taking down nameds that are yellow if you spend some time to get your key spells as ad3 and gear mastercrafted.

i dunno how low a tier you're talking about and how twinked you plan on being, but SK's are one of the nasty's pvping classes out there. I think a healer would compliment the SK well considering (imo) at lower tiers, SKs and healers are by far the best pvp classes (lower tiers = 50 and below). The only slight objection I have to the healer opt is that a scout would give you tracking and if you want to be able to stalk ppl or aggressively look for others, there's nothng nicer than track. I would consider Warden, Fury, or Inq to all work well. As far as yellow named go, that is a definite. When I twinked Catastrophe at 27, he could kill even con triple up heroics and he didn't even have as many AA as chars that level do now and didn't have the new AA tree (which is pretty nice down the reaving line).

For duoing I'd say SK/Fury is a great combo. SK/warden or Inquis are alos quite good imo.

Considering sk's have pretty good self heals, i often prefer dps classes as duo partners. Especially ones with stuns and the like. But then again, it depends what you want to do. If you just want to kill mobs fast, a dps class i preffered. But if you want to camp nameds that are at even level or close, you might wanna have a healer class instead.
