<DIV>Recent clarification of the 100% dps bonus cap? what about Death march? currently at master 1 death march has a 119% dps increase. what happens with the extra 19% dps bonus? </DIV>

Death march is a useless piece of crap. <div></div>

Your right I was out of line, but it is completely useless. DPS is the easiest for scouts to cap, so it doesnt help the group, the stifle immunity is fine, but we can still be interrupted and when it could be useful soloing, interupts infact kill its usefullness. 100 int whoopty doo, it doesnt even matter for 15 seconds, none of it does the buff is just swallowed up by better buffs from group members. <div></div>

This spell, when used in conjunction with pestilence, allows me do do ridulous damage to large/multiple groups.  You know those three groups of drakota whelps in HoF?  Before they lowered our crit chance, I would do about 1200DPS in there. It is not useless, it just considerably more useful in some situations than others. To adress the OP, yes, there really doesn't seem to be much reason to boost Deathmarch past Adept 3 (104% DPS) unless you want the extra INT.<div></div>

I havent used that garbage spell since about 2 weeks after I got it.  The bottom line is, the 104% dps increase is only for autoattack damage, which SKs do little of, especially if you are using a weapon with a 2.0 delay or faster because only 1/4 of the swings actually get through due to us casting spells.  Then you have the INT bonus.  I'm sitting at 514 Int self--buffed which is over the cap of 510...that extra 128 int isnt going to do anything at all for me.  I really wish SOE would revamp that spell completely to make it useful in any situation.  Hell, its not even on my hotbar anymore.<div></div>

<P>I use death march a lot and is quite happy with it. It's very useful when pulling multiple encounters or encounters with multiple mobs. The bonus applies to the group and not just yourself, so if you have a few melees.. bruisers, monks, brigands whatever, they all seem to do significant more damage.</P> <P>The dps that goes above 100% can be used to counter damage reducing effects, such as the mystics torpor.</P> <P>To call is useless is an exaggeration. It's situational.</P>

<DIV>I also made an interesting observation last night.  I was off-tanking and we were fighting one of the named in the Nest that is grouped with several arrow-down buddies, and I turned on Death March and stacked it with Pestilence.  This of course caused both Death march to proc a lot of times but also the virulent effect of Pestilence.  As an end result, even though our guardian was taunting at every opportunity, I drew aggro anyway.  Ok...won't do that again unless I'm tanking.  :smileytongue:</DIV>

Here is alittle trick with Deathmarch, it requires a Conjurer in your group tho.Put up death march then when the conjurer uses his ability to kill his pet this triggers deathmarch, very useful if you need temperary immunity's at a specific time ect..<div></div>

But yea anyways back to the original topic of this post, yea the extra 19% DPS from deathmarch is useless, Sony should lower it across the board so master gives 100% and everything else is lower.  Otherwise there is currently <u><b>NO POINT IN BUYING THE MASTER</b></u><div></div>

<DIV>/disagree</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>IMHO the extra 19% that the master offers is for the chance that a mob has dubuffed you or debuffs your DPS mod during the fight or during the duration of Death March. I see this as another circumstantial effect of the spell itself. I personally love the spell and use it quite often when either tanking, off tanking or even in DPS mode. I don't want to see a change to the DPS mod due to circumstances in the game. </DIV>
