Hi, I play Kurindor Mythecnea on Blackburrow and am working my armorer level towards the capability to make my own feysteel armor set. I was wondering if there were any certain pieces of feysteel I shouldn't make due to another T4 item being better than I can get by questing or some other such manner. My thanks to those who respond :smileyhappy: .

T4... EL and Zek. Might be some stuff from RunneyEye that would be nice, or the EbonEye stuff from Zek - check that stuff out at Allakazam's, perhaps, or from EQ2Players. Not sure how it matches Feysteel. From what I recall, Feysteel seemed to be pretty darn good for that level. Paricularly if you get it imbued.

dont bother, feysteel is the best unless you get some rare drop - also you are a SK so dont look all patched together like poor [Removed for Content] pallies, guardians, and zerkers

Point noted above, howver, about patchwork appearance. Sometimes it works out okay, other times...
Message Edited by Wargod1968 on 04-13-2006 10:21 AM

Yeah, Carbonite T3 armor on my server has inflated by price x3, and for me, I suppose this is good because everything else has inflated as well. Before I stopped playing I was working on a 22 sets of carbonite armor and I just about finished getting them altogether and am awaiting their sale. In the mean time, my previously amassed collection of rares (steel, dandelion, blackened iron, yarrow, sisal, etc.) had decided that they need to be put to use...although...I guess I really only mean my steel. So now that the price of steel has inflated so much as well, I sold two pieces of steel imbued items on Blackburrow for 1 G ('cause the running price for imbued feysteel is around 1.25 G, lool..) and ended up with 2 plat. Luckily, my social tendencies landed me in good favor with someone who was selling steel - 8 pieces worth to be exact. I bought 8 pieces and still have 3 left over from my previous stash. Now, all I have to do is wait for my current supply of T3 carbonite armor to sell off in my vault before I can refill it with some more while I scout for those wanting to buy T3 rare steel EQ. Soon I'll be rich and fully equipped in feysteel, now that I know it's the best stuff for little ol' me!

Tradeskilling and selling the rares you do find can definitely get you the full suit and shield by 40 if one is frugal, for sure. I was hinting at lower levels, that kind of kit might be a bit much to expect. Your advice is good, however, and is the path I am on myself.

Yeah Jebaris, were I not looking to get some of my alts caught up to my level (either in tradeskilling or whatever) I would most likely utilize that method as well. But what I'm doing is organizing my tradeskill input/output so that I'll have enough to purchase full suits of Legendary armor for my other characters as I need them. What I plan on doing is, once I get my own Feysteel armor lined up, on top of a [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] load of 32 slot boxes and bags and all of their tiers of Legendary armor set up, I'm gonna work up a Dwarf Convert Defiler Metalworker (Weaponsmith). Once he has reached the level of my main toon (both tradeskill and adventure), I'm going to work up my tradeskill level on my Half-elf Ranger Woodworker so that I can make shields, staves, and etc. I saw on the broker today a Legendary T4 wood item that had the same damage rating as a piece of T4 feysteel which had cost over 3 times as much. This wooden (pike I'm pretty sure) weapon also had a quicker rate of damage as well. Anyways, with him as a woodworker, all of my toons will carry support in one shape or another. So actually...I'm kind of unsure -- should I make my Ranger Woodworker first or my Defiler Weaponsmith? After either those two (or maybe just one of them?) I was going to work on a Human Monk Tailor, so that I could make Legendary EQ for my mages (who will work on my spells for all of the classes) and large bags as well. I was going to skip the jeweler profession because I will only have one scout, while sages (I think?) cover both priest and mage spell/combat skills. My Alchemist was going to be a Froglok Wizard and my Sage was going to be a Dark Elf Necromancer. lol..I guess this wasn't really off topic, but that's my plan. I'm an elitist perfectionist and fulfilling every ounce within EQ2 is just some "innate desire" of my personality I suppose, hahaha :smileyvery-happy:. I'm strongly against grinding, so it doesn't matter to me when it comes to outfitting my group with ALL Legendary equipment. :smileyhappy:Anyways...Thanks for the prelim. knowledge given so far,Kurindor Mythecnea/5-other-names
