View Full Version : Crusader and Bard Power pool bug,
<div></div><div></div><div></div><div>I discovered a bug with the way our powerpool is determined. This effects bards also as they use 2 stats to determine max power. Basically our max power should come from having 510str and 510 wis , but this is not the case. </div><div> There is a point when you stop gaining benefits from adding more to either stat (Even below the cap of 510) . Here are some pics to show this, they where all taken in a row with no gear changes just buff swaps.</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>First low WIS, low STR Now low WIS, high STR High WIS, low STR High WIS, High STR</div><div> </div><div> </div><div><img src="http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e361/dogmae/offensive.jpg"> <img src="http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e361/dogmae/OffensiveSTR.jpg"> <img src="http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e361/dogmae/Defensive.jpg"> <img src="http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e361/dogmae/DefensiveSTR.jpg"></div><div>Now as you can see with low wisdom adding 72str gives 144 power, with high wisdom adding that same 72str give 0 power.</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>Please look into this and give us a fix so we can have the "largest power pool" of fighters as is intended (Yet doesn't happen).</div><p>Message Edited by Dogmae on <span class="date_text">04-06-2006</span><span class="time_text">03:49 PM</span></p>

<div></div>Nice find, a pity you didnt post this where it will be read however by development. Maybe you should PM moorguard or someone to take a look at this thread

<div>LOL I knew there was something wrong, I just didnt know it was this bad. If you get a Wis buff first it seems to negate the Str buff. You should link this to another thread where it will be seen.</div>

<div></div><p>Nice find! I'll check this out on Test... Test has two liasons from the QA department, and if I can replicate this, I'll make sure they know about it ASAP (And keep on knowing about it if it isn't fixed....)</p><p> </p>

<div></div>Interesting that it seems to cap out at the same max power for high wis and for high str. Looks like maybe we're running into a hardcap on our power pool somewhere.

<div>I wasn't able to replicate this when I tried on Test. I took my Wisdom up to the mid 400s, checked power... Siphoned and buffed up further, and each action increased my power pool further. Definitely looks like there's a bug somewhere from the screenshots, but not having any luck getting it to show up for me. There's always the chance that it's fixed on Test.</div>

<div></div><p>Its a hard cap on our power pool, the same as we are capped on damage, But this is a bit stricter, we only supposed to do so much in casting and its easy to maintain this by capping off the power pool of class and adjusting Mana Cost.</p><p>Technically the Total Mana you have doesnt realy matter in reflecting us being lower then the other fighters, this just means that we should have lower costs on spells and hence utilize the same power pool more. Example Sk and War both has 300mana, Sk has 3 spells that cost 75 each, While War has 3 Spells that cost 100 each, War can cast 3 spells only and will be oom, While SK can cast all three and still have 75 left over.. Hence SKs has more to play around with.</p>

<div>There is a stat cap for all classes when it comes to power pool, and it's in the 400's. Higher wis or str or int, whatever a class uses than that cap, will not produce more power. Power can still be had beyond that, though I have also not broken the 4k mark by more than a point or two.</div>

<div></div><p>I was up to 4700 or so while pretty well buffed over the weekend. ~4200 self buffed. Not sure how much is direct from items though, which I assume falls outside of capped - or whether some class buffs are also "outside of cap" type stat buffs...</p>
