<div>I've mostly played my SK solo for many levels but have recently been doing more tanking. I'm working my gear towards that end. So, with tanking in mind, what do you get for your ring slots and hex dolls? I'm lvl 53 now so talking T6 gear. My armor is all cobalt. Since the rings and charm slots generally give big boost to one stat, I'm hoping to get your advice. </div><div> </div><div>My thoughts lean towards at least one item in each of those slots that is for STA since our health pool is smaller than other tanks. </div><div> </div><div>AGI? This seems to be a bit of a win/lose situation. Plate and AGI don't go so well together. We need to be hit for the caress line to work. But, the less we are hit the less damage we take and the less the healers have to do.</div><div> </div><div>STR? Better melee damage and power pool.</div><div> </div><div>INT? Doesn't seem the best for tanking. I do carry a 2nd set of jewelry on me with INT stats that I switch into if I am in a group but not MT. In other words, just try to maximize dps in that situation. </div><div> </div><div>WIS? Again a boost to power pool. Better resists. This also doesn't seem the overall best choice though as our WIS is very high if we switch to Def stance which more often than not...we do for tanking. </div><div> </div><div>What did you MTs out there choose? Oh, this isn't a question for raids. I rarely do raids as my guild is a very small group of RL friends and we don't have the peeps to fill out a raid roster. Just strictly a normal quest/xp group is the set up I am concerned with. </div><div> </div><div>Thanks in advance for all your help. </div>

I'm a lvl 35 SK playing on a PvP server... and I went completely for Wisdom. I used Wis Hex dolls and Wis rings, and I'm also gone for the Wis AA line.Yesterday I was in a group with a Warden and a Troubador and I had 273 Wisdom... which was awesome =D I had more power than HP and resists ranging between 20-60%. I tanked very effectively there. The reason I went Wis was 3 fold.1. I figured that our agi was too low for it to make a difference and I still stand by that decision. With a fabled shield, I have 41% avoidance and I don't agi making a huge impact unless I could buff it by hundreds.2. Str and Stamina are easy enough to boost, especially using our group buff. I also wanted to pick a speciality that set me apart from other tanks. Warriors and Brawlers are all about Stamina and Agi but they lack Wisdom. Being a Crusader gives us innate bonuses to Wisdom from our Def stance line and I wanted to be able to say to groups "yeah, he's got 5% more mit or 20% more avoidance... but I've got double his resistances, so pick me to MT."3. PvP. You should see the look on those Wizards faces when their nukes are resisted =DBe cool, go Wis.

<div></div><p>i went one str one wis (for both) for every tier, although now my SK is 68 i have a T7 str hex doll and a music box. then a random t7 treasured ring that gives str agi sta, and a vanadium str ring.</p><p>in all honesty considering how little wisdom does at this level for resists, i'm tempted to jsut try maxing my str and my int. we're DPS tanks, so maxing our int helps us hold agro. in my offencive standce in the right group i've had over 500 str and 600 int, works well for keeping agro, thats for sure.</p><p> </p><p>really does depend on the group and what your taking on though. carry a mix of gear and wear it to suit the occasion.</p>

I use 2 str dolls soloing, raiding, or not the MT; or 2 sta dolls when I am the MT in the group. Soloing or not MTing I dont use imbued rings I use 2 signets of jahnir. When I am the MT in a group I use 2 imbued sta vanadium rings (might switch to T7 rares soon). Raiding I keep the signets of jahnir for the big int boost (I also wear 3 or 4 pieces of int armor when raiding, in off stance I can cap or come close to capping my int.... yes I am an SK wearing a robe and cloth armor, laugh all you want but the parses dont lie, it works)<div></div>

Eh, I prefer the Disruption bonus from the Overflowing Vessel, and the stat spread of the Musicbox to Hex dolls... In my tanking gear I cap my int (520 in offensive stance) So I don't really need to wear cloth for that reason. It's also beneficial to be able to just hit my defense stance and pick up a loose mob rather than wearing paper...Though sometimes I do wear the Raiment of the Skywatcher for the deaggro...depending on what class is MTing I sometimes need that extra deaggro to not pull it <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

<div></div>Did I make a mistake? I am a level 33 Sk and I have two 10+ hex dolls. I feel like I made the wrong choice but wanted your opinion. My dolls are 10+ int and 10+ stamina. How bad did I screw up. I feel like I should have done str and wis or double wis. Thanks for your advice.

<div></div>my first pair of hex dolls were Str/Sta and since then it's been Sta/Wis or Str/Int depending on my role in a given raid.

<div></div>I wouldnt go double wis since in raids we arent the MT and in regular groups when we are the MT our def stance adds a good amount of wis already. An int and str doll is a good way to start it makes up for the huge loss of int when were in def stance and to buff up your CAs a little. You didnt make a mistake, but later on maybe 50+ you might want to change them to a stat your lacking (sometimes it would be sta, it was for me since i went straight int and str)
