<div></div><div>I chose the INT line to start off. I plan on maxing Legionnaire's Wrath, then going back and maxxing Legionnaire's Intelligence. After that I will go either the STR, STA, or WIS line, haven't decided.</div><div> </div><div>Why? Well INT effects our spell damage just as STR effects our autoattacks. Add that to 100% greater chance to crit and I should see myself putting out some nice damage.</div><div> </div><div>I like the final path skills for STA and WIS, and also like the haste that comes with the STR path.</div><p>Message Edited by megatraum on <span class="date_text">03-01-2006</span><span class="time_text">09:30 AM</span></p>

<div></div><div>Str and Sta line... was considering the agi line just for the add defense skill.</div><div> </div><div>Str adds haste, hate, lower cast times and quicker recovery.</div><div> </div><div>Sta adds duh health, melee crit, more health, and 10 sec invulnerabilty.</div><div> </div><div>Wis didn't look bad but only 1 good skill in it, don't need anymore int already maxed.</div><p>Message Edited by dendey on <span class="date_text">03-01-2006</span><span class="time_text">04:31 PM</span></p>

I dont know about you guys but I need instant gratification and the best way for my to get it is to make wizzys cry. I love seeing HUGE Harm Touches and spam from all the aoes dotts criting lin giant waves above the mobs. that being said Im going to maxspell crits first. After im going for agility. Im a full time raiding SK and im always in the main tank group buffing the MT and hardlyever to I tank on raids. Im guessing since most of the other AA are linear and the Trample AA could be insane in the right places. With 8 aa in your looking at 20% on all your frontal auto attacks hitting up to 4 mobs in front of you weilding a AXE or SWORD.Now if your on a horse it could be 40% if its linear since it doubled. Now with deathmarch rolling and doing 119% more dps with iton how temping is it to then be able to essentialy AOE all the time for amazing amounts of damage without casting. Not positivewhat i will do with the rest of the AAs yet but grinding them out is going to be a blast! Helgore 68 SK Oasis Iniquity<div></div>

Wanted to max out the chance of spell crit and heal crit for greater dps and heal is good for solo and tanking. I also like the wis lines buffs, and I tend to exclusively use swords so I should not have any issues using the sword only ability here. When not tanking, I have no issues swapping out shield for symbol for the extra nuke and sacrificed use of a 2hander. I read the battle mage thread and may even explore those options when just doing dps, going int gear, robe and all, for greater magic dps. With the magic crit ability maxed, this should do some evil damage(I'm hoping).</p><p>When I do tank with this setup, I only lose the one ability requiring a symbol, and I should still be able to do some decent dps.</p><p>If I like this and decide not to respec, I may never need a 2hander again, just be a sword wielding wizzie with a symbol in the offhand in dps mode, therefore greatly increasing my spell dps, but sacrificing melee dps by losing stats to int gear. We will see how it goes, I think it will be fun to try at least.</p><ul><li>Valhaj Soulstealer</li><li>61 Dark Elf Shadowknight</li><li>42 Carpenter</li></ul>

<div></div><div>After taking 2 weeks to think things over, talk to other SK's (the ones that actually did pick some & weren't doing what I was & waiting lol) I finally decided.</div><div> </div><div>I rarely MT boss mobs in raids, so I didn't feel it was practical to mould them in the fashion of me being as such. Considering I was a really stupid barbarian, it was quite clear I needed to work on int. I like the line, notice the crits now & even if I have to switch a shield out for a shnazzy new symbol, its ok, I'd be doing ranged most likely anyways & shouldn't be tanking. I'm not sure exactly how the final ability works, but it sounds interesting, if not just for duels lol. Upon KoS release, I've focused on Int more & gained another 100ish so far & noticed some difference. Not as much as everyone else seemed to hype it to be, but enough to warrant doing, considering I had nothing better to do.</div><div> </div><div>The next line to choose was probably the harder to pick from. I narrowed it down to str & sta. I didn't want agi or wis, due to the seclusive & tanking modes those attributed me too. I picked Sta in the end, for 3 reasons. 1 being that more hps is always good. Irregardless if your main tank, or a dps fighter, more hps is great to have, especially when you don't have a healer & run around doing quests solo or to live through a lagged out accidental AE hit in a raid. 2nd being, that I like the hammer ability to give me yet another AE attack + stun to use, to total them to 6, or 5 most of the time with DJ long recast. 3rd is, I will melee crit more often so I'm not totally ignoring the melee side & consider it an ok tradeoff for no haste that comes with str line. I might not think this way did I not have girdle of conquering. The last ability is interesting too, with the 30 attacks absorb, but I suspect it will have situational use, as most mobs I'd want to use this on, would actually be over the hp range to absorb lol. Still,it could be something I emerg mode it, if I got hurt real bad & couldn't get lifetaps off quick enough.</div><div> </div><div>Overall, with the place I usually am in a raid, the fact I solo alot, running around doing quests, these 2 seem to fit the best for the playstyle & gear that I currently own. I also don't like to put all the eggs in 1 basket, so didn't pour more into 1 & leaving part of another line empty at the end.</div><div> </div><div>Lastly, upon completion of this, I will take time & see how it works & if I don't like it, well I'm 1S away from changing it.</div>

This game also Seperates Healing and The Damage end on the lifetaps they give us.. As well as There is no way SoE out of all the bugs and problems there is would intentinaly make an AA that SKs cant ever use once... (Yeah i have complaints about most the AAs but its how it was implemented) Heal crits will effect our lifetap heal gains.

Actually, at the moment, the Lifetap crits are only affected by our spell damage crits. Probably a bug, but as it stands, 100% spell damage crits = 100% lifetap crits. I expect this to be changed in the near future but have yet to see an official response to weather or not the 100% crit chance is intentional. If they choose to leave it I think they should change it back to the way it was on beta where you had to have a symbol equipped to get the crits, it is just too much damage not to have some kind of requirement....I regularly outparse wizards and just about every other class except Warlocks and Rangers. Don't get me wrong, i LOVE the dps increase..I just think its rather sick seeing a plate tank that can tank epic mobs out dpsing most tier 1 dps classes <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

<div></div>I agree that the healing portion of the lifetap should count as that...a heal in terms of calculating whether or not it's a critical. Just seems logical to me that way.
