<DIV>Sometimes the Disease cloud is being resisted and the dot does not land</DIV> <DIV>so how about the taunt effect? </DIV> <DIV>does it mean that it is also being resisted?<BR>any clarification would be appreciated :smileywink:</DIV>

/shrugIn EQ1, resisted spells counted for full aggro (just as if you had landed it for max damage). Aggro was mostly calculated off of "max potential" damage, not actual damage. (That rule applied to both melee damage and spell damage. I used to miss a lot while skilling up an unused weapon skill, yet never lost aggro.)Whether that still holds true in EQ2... I dunno.

<DIV>As far as I've noticed when the disease part is resisted the taunt part is as well.  Which is real real annoying when fighting some orange and red mobs,  I usually toss down a decree of decay first against the red mobs even if they are a solo group mob, then try disease cloud a few times and hope it gets thru at least once so I can keep aggro. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<DIV>From what I have personally seen, it seems like the taunt part still works.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>On a side note though, disease cloud is a pain when mobs are mezzed, I have to waste a hotkey on inflame since some mobs can get truly [Removed for Content] and take more than one taunt to agro on you before you break the mez.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Skrull</DIV> <DIV>Unrest</DIV>
