we are not solo gods1. that leads to more FoM classes use and gets us nerfed2. crap players in freeport cloth ( you know the resist only gear) will complain that they cant do the things that good players that are well equipied (legendary/fabled) can. We have seen it happen before, and it will happen again We are great avoidence tanks that can go into a DPS AA, if we need more damage and less tanking. We are best as tanks in groups where multiple heroics come into play.

I get tells all the time praising my tanking abil. I am only a 47th now, but groups love me. We were in the Santum the other day and our DPS were always having to go AFK, but with me kickin it, we did fine. So, I do think you need to invest in Adept/Master taunts though. We also get build alot of hate through our damage, so we are not always able to peel a mob off a trigger happy Mage, but it will come off as we beat the chit outa it...we will get it's attention.:smileywink:

One just needs to learn how to be a good tank and go fast and furious through the mobs so all get great xp.

Bruisers are fine tanking or for DPS for groups.

You will have considerable difficuly getting into a raiding guild however, if that's your eventual aim. However, this is pretty much true for Fighters in general.

Cool

Not really all that interested in raiding anyway, more focused on solo and small/medium groups

Solo and OffTank sounds like the way to go.

Just rolled myself a Bruiser the other day and am still starting out, but so far it's alot of fun, and definitely looks the coolest while fighting :smileywink:

Am I better off following a tanking or DPS line?

I prefer OffTank to MT while in groups, and do about an equal amount of solo to grouping - is this better suited to DPS?

Well....for a Bruiser I'd go the DPS line 4-4-8x3, if you were a Monk, a bit more balanced 4-4-8-8x2.

I find that the lost of the 128 agi buff on monks seems to hurt their tanking abilities a little plus the weaker heal on a slower timer doesn't help either.

If you really get into bruising you will find a raid guild, too. It's just a mind thing. Bruiser can tank epics too, allthough they are disadvantaged at the moment.
