<DIV>I was bored yesterday So I decided to see what all the hype is about. I made a rat brus. and said ok I'll buy all collection quests. After 2 hours on the broker I was lv 33 with the best gear and spells I could buy. So I went to FG to test out this crazy "training" named ph killing. Wow I love it. I got 6 metals in 1 hour lol. It was tough at first cuase all my skills were like 5/160 lol from the power lv<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />. I am totally suprised with this and now I will be the loot farming noo.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Imperishable-70 Necro/50 aa/70 carp</DIV> <DIV>Heka-70 guard/48 aa/70 prov</DIV> <DIV>Nakazato/33 brus/6 aa/12 craft</DIV>

Very interesting! I will look into this. I too have a higher who can help out. I guess the only drawback is that he won't be equipted at a new level...if it's a drastic enough change and so I will then have to drop alot of coin to equip. him. Thanks fer the info.

<DIV> <DIV>Collections quests are great for power leveling toons if you have the plat free. I didnt have to worry about replacing my gear seeings how I never had any at lv 1 <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />, So when I was done with all the collection quests I then bought my gear. If you do all the collection quests in game I believe you can get your toon from lv1-37. This does cost quite a bit of plat; however the whole purpose of this toon for me is to lv another crafter and "farm" names only no grouping. With this tatic you can make back the plat you spent for the collections. I farmed fg last night for about 2 hours and got 11 masters. 3 of the master I got was rescue with this spell never being replaced for tanks I sold all 3 that night for 11 plat each.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Imperishable-70 Necro/50 aa/70 carp</DIV> <DIV>Heka-70 guard/48 aa/70 prov</DIV> <DIV>Nakazato/34 brus/7 aa/16 craft</DIV></DIV>

At about 31 you can start soloing just the named and ph for named in fallen gate. When you hit 33 its the max lv to get all names in fg. At about 34-35 you can solo all names in fg. FG isnt too low at this lv for solo named farming. You just fd run past all trash to ph/named and kill. Rinse and repeat till all names/ph killed and you are in the last room. You can then take gong out or just die to get back to front. This runs at a perfect speed. Last night I experienced my first time dealing with a bot group in fg. They were all lv 26, all on af and wouldnt repsond when I told warned them not to steal the named I was going to kill after I was engaged and done with the 1 mob in the way. I got no response and then 30 secs later they pulled the named. This is when I did the bruiser deal and tuaght them a lesson. Hehe anyone know what they learned <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

Yea, at 35 most of the named are green but the mobs around them are grey...so it's nice. Is the end room the nig room with all the bowing mobs...there seems to be 40 mobs in there?
Imperishab
09-08-2006, 05:57 PM
The last room the named is a tough sob. He is lv 26 ^^^ with 4 26 double downs. If room is kos to you need to clear it or room agro on boss pull. Easy to get around this is just have a higher lv toon logged out in that room clear it and kill 4 adds with boss then log back onto your brus to solo named.

<P>Gah, my comp crashed bigtime! May need a whole new comp.</P> <P>Anyways, I went in to FG again and noticed the Priest Mob is now grey without me having leveled....thats a bummer, one less....and I am wondering if the others grey out too. Anyway, when these go grey, is there onpther area where we can do the same thing?</P>

<DIV>Not really, Most classes can do the same thing. Shoot Ill take my necro anyday on named killing if its solo, the differance is that brus/monk can do it better in zones with trash to kill on the way. I hit 41 last night and got my 13th aa so thats 6 days old and I think ill stay around this lv for awhile. I moved into rov to farm was fun. At 40 you can kill all the names in there with some being difficult. I would say that lv 42 is the magic number for being the perfect lv to farm rov. At 42 you can get the new set of mastercrafted gear and have all trash in most of the zone greyed out other then names and ph. The only thing bad about rov is that there is alot of bot farmers in there that try to steal your names<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />. You have a better shot at metal boxes if the mob is blue....better still on white mobs. At 30, I'd be hitting the first half of RoV. At 40, I'd be in RE. At 45-50, I'd be in OOLS. I duo with a Fury. I suppose I'd go for the green ones if I was solo'ing.

<P>There is always someone who has to call bs isnt there. I only figured this post would help benifit some of the toons leveling up who want to get plat on their way. I have no need to lie about what or how Im doing this. Shoot those spells only sell for 20-30 gold on average so not really making that much plat. ROV RE has so many names you cant do a full trip around the zone quick enough to hit the names/ph before they repop. There is about 8 names on a 10 min repop timer that Im camping in RE atm. On average I would say I get a metal chest 75% of the time. </P> <P> </P> <DIV>Imperishable-70 Necro/50 aa/70 carp</DIV> <DIV>Heka-70 guard/48 aa/70 prov</DIV> <DIV>Nakazato/44 brus/16 aa/16 craft</DIV>

Yea, I can see how you can get this much loot. When I was doing FG, I was gettin a Master drop off the Green Named Mobs pretty much on a regualr basis....made a decent amount doing it fer sure. Now I am just 37 so there is nowhere fer me to solo named mobs til I get a bit older I think.

<DIV>Yah, np I can understand that. Just remember every class will at one pt. be the "flavor of the month" then get nerfed becuase of it. Shoot I have been through it with all my toons. My necro pet used to do 2k dps alone on raids. Anything that has to do with a class being "nerfed" is only sony trying to make things even in the overall aspect of the game. Yes, last night was a great night for loot. It isnt always that great; however, its still mad loot doing it. Trying to keep things quite so a class might not get nerfed is kind of kid stuff lol. If a class needs changed it's going to happen no matter what or how you go about things plan and simple.</DIV>

And you are mad because..... Oh your "Twink" was getting scooped! [Removed for Content] Twinks don't really help the "spirit" of the game either. I would think the only way to really fix this and it happens in all MMOs is to make every item except crafted/crafting stuff be no drop no trade.

<DIV>So, at 42, RE and RoV seem to be the best places to go eh? I am in RoV now, and as long as I don't see lower leveled groups in there, I will go room to room. But I don't see alot of named mobs really. Some rooms I cant even see a PH. But I really have only gone through all of RoV once or twice. So I need to spend soem more time there. I needed to level to 42 for my new Weapons and armor and spent an hour killin the Golems in one room waiting for the named ones to pop and they never dod...lol.....and then other times I have seen them in there no problem. Go figure. But I guess I will head on into RE too and see what I can do there. I just saw what upgrade Battle Fury(Bob and Weave upgrade) at adept3 makes...it was huge....so I really feel like I can take down much tough mobs in roportion to my level than I could at 41. I just happen to get 5 Adept3 upgrades at once, plus the new Mastercrafted armor at 42 and weapons, and I feel invincible. I am wondering if I would be able to kill a blue heroic! That would be wild if I could. The green ones 7 levels under are easy...even the named mobs are too at that level. I don't kill these for xp really, just for fun. I am in no hurry to level. I still need to get AA's...at this point I have none.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My rare pelts needed for new armor were so cheap.....like 6g each i think. I usually had no trouble with soloin Blue ^^^ on my now 67 Bruiser. Its just a matter of space, making sure you switch to defensive stance when your moves have yet to refresh, and to use the self heal soon as you are about the % of health down, so you can take advantage of the fact that you might get to heal again during the fight. Now, if you are going against melee mobs for the most part, it would be wise to have an agility hex doll with you. What I usually do is after I unleashed all my combart arts and need time for refreshing or for my self heal to come up, I fear or mez the mob, then cast the snare from the hex doll. After that, I just keep my distance from it until I am fit enough to go back into the fray. Ive been able to do this against blue ^^^ as well as whites without much of a problem. I also did this in the 30's and 40's without much trouble. The snare lasts for I think about 2 minutes, which is plenty of time to catch your breath incase things go wrong.

<P>I have ben using Hex dolls too....I use the one that lowers their Mit...but I will try the agility doll.</P> <P>as far as switching stances aftre I blow my wad, I sometimes do that....but I was taking alot of hits while doin ghtis in the offensive stance, so by the time I went into Defensive stance, I was really beat up from the feet up. Now, since then, I have upgraded the Battl;e Fury (Bob and Weave) which looks to really make a difference, so I will go back to trying that again and see how it goeth. I would imagine that I would just stay in Defensive stance once I go into it because after that, I am just pressin the keys as they come up one by one.</P> <P>I alos use a Health Regen potion on the tough fights which has really saved me [Removed for Content] many times <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P>

I see that alot of you all like the Off stance, but too me, I am not experiencing much success useing it solo.</P> <P>It seems like, when the mob isn't stunned, it is counter-punching me, and when in Off stance, the hits land to such a degree that my health really takes a toll. It is so bad that I just FD and redo. <DIV>Thanks, that does make sense. Last night, after gettin in the mail 2 more bufs I needed Adept3'd, and 3 mastercrafted pieces of Jewlrey for the 42nd level, I was able to use the off stance much better without the health drain against heroics around the32, 33, 34th range. Some of these mobs were multiple that used to give my health a hit, but now in off there is no issue. Now as for the Blue^^^ 2 levels under, I am not so sure but will try them again. It looked as though I was able to beat a 41 level blue^^^ in CT at the entrance, but not sure due to a healer popin a heal on me at the end that I never asked for, wasn't even grouped lol.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>By the way, i got KoS and my first point last night. :smileywink:</DIV>

<P>I did the collection thing on my Berserker. I took him to level 20 the normal way (it doesn't take much time) and then started turning in collections. Why 20? Because the collections after 20 give AA xp. I used collection quests to get 12 levels, up to 32, then equipped him with Feysteel and Ruthenium Jewelery. Also bought a few masters. Total twinkage. Cost about 20 plat for collection items. Another 10-15 plat if you count the price I could have sold the Feysteels and Ruthenium's. And another 10 plat for the Master's I bought on broker. It was a nice way to get a RoV capable Berserker with about 6 hours of adventure time (lower levels go really fast) and 4 hours on broker and crafting. </P> <P>If you can do it in 2 hours, you're just a more efficient player than me. As for the metal box rate in FG, RoV and RE, he's right. It's pretty amazing. I tend to dual-box those zones. Fury/Bruiser is a tough combo. I can get good metal box rates in T3-T5, but in T6, I cannot figure it out. I'm working on Poet's Palace access now. </P>
