Shamans and Bruisers

Curious .... are shamans still the best priest class to duo with as a bruiser? <div></div>

Are they the best? I don't really know. But they do offer amazing buffs that increases the "primary" attributes of a fighter, and has some great healing in the form of the wards. I trio occasionally with a Defiler and Assassin without troubles.<div></div>

Wards are probably the best way to "heal" a brawler type.<BR><BR> <DIV>You prevent the damage from happening completly.<BR>For example: Your tanking with a Cleric, Cleric has reactives up, but your not getting hit.. 20sec goes by still not hit, then Wham! 2k hit.. healed by reactive for +380.<BR>Same Example: Your tanking, with a Shaman type, Shaman has wards up, your not getting hit.. 20sec...still no.. Bam! O_o, Ward soaked it all up.<BR><BR>HOT's from druids seem to work decent, but in my experience the wards are the best choice for brawler type.<BR></DIV>

<DIV>shamen are good duoers, but if you're duoing, i'd suggest a fury.  they're awesome healers, they have outstanding buffs, and they can dps pretty well, which is what you want in a duo group.  If you're the only one dpsing, then stuff will die slow.</DIV>

<P>My "main alt" is a Mystic but I've played Fury for a while as well (to 2<img src="/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />, to compare them.  For duoing with my Bruiser I prefer Shaman's with Fury as a close second.  Shaman types have very nice buffs and the wards can't be beat for 'healing' avoidance tanks.  They also can contribute in the dps department with a couple different DoT's though granted not as well as a Fury.  Finally they have a few debuffs that cut down on enemy dps and slow them.  Furies can't be beat on the dps help and do heal very well though and I have duo'd with Fury players very effectively in the past.  Anywho, just my 2 cents. heh</P>

Defilers have some awsome str buffs and a STA debuff which will help you kill stuff faster in the end. =)

Plus,<BR>If your server is anything like the 2 servers that I have played on, Their are more furys than you can shake a stick at, however... very few Defilers & Mystics.

Aye Fury are very good to duo with. But in case u dont have a healer to duo with i would choose a brigand to duo with. Very awesome duo goup. Since brigand have many stuns and very good dps we duo good with them.

Yep, Brigands are great for duoing.  I also like duoing with Troub's and Dirges.  Their buffs are amazing for pushing your avoidance through the roof and they have some nice stuns and mazzes as well.
