<DIV>Scouts have tracking... do the math...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Seriously, in the teens the scouts do so much more damage and have tracking so you can find the Freepos hiding around the zone. Seriously if it was me I'd roll a Ranger or Swashy and go to town. I love my Monk, but for this role the scout would be a little better. I may just roll a Swashy and exile him for extra fun... :smileytongue:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Edit- Just had an evil thought though... As a Monk early on on a PVE server I used to run around in a robe or newbie gear pretending to be a noob. Imagine someone's suprise when they backstab you, or try, and you parrry it and own them... I guess that would help Monks in this situation too.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Galn on <span class=date_text>06-30-2006</span> <span class=time_text>10:12 PM</span>

<DIV>I play a 28 Monk in partial cuirboilli armour with 2 fir cudgels.  Not spectacularly twinked but not badly equipped either.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Any scout up to L30 is more than welcome to track me at their peril.  If they are sensible they use stuns snares and kite with a good poison and bow autoattack.  If they try and melee I usually take them out before loosing a bubble of health.  Above L30 is riskier due to the fact they could be wearing gear a full tier higher, but I have succeeded against a L34 Assassin solo.</DIV>

Borrrrrrrrrring.Thats what everyone does, roll a char to level twenty something and twink him out, kill things when they don't have their class defining skills and any chance to give you a run for your money. You might aswell stay on a PvE server, level to 70 and kill level 17 mobs for the rest of your days. Personally I don't find much enjoyment out of winning every time. Not to mention that most people round that level are newbs and probably won't even have their AQ's done. If you're a twink you've got some pvp exp and the people you're fighting generally won't. You'll end up coming across a brigand that will debuff you so much you'll wish you were able to nuke like a mage because the avoidance and mitgation you'll end up with will be close to nothing.<div></div>

All the gear was either crafted or paid for by the profits of the same character who is a 30 Jeweler.Exp isn't locked either FYI.

<div>My reply was to this post, which happens to be the original post. Funny how that works?<blockquote><hr>jvrebi wrote:<div>Gonna twink him out and turn off exp and hunt Freeps in Ant the rest of his life.</div> <div> </div> <div>Monk a good choice or should I go scout?</div><hr></blockquote></div>

Pretty much pointless PvPing at that low of a level. My toon is at 29 right now but I'm going to wait until atleast 35 to get into PvPing. I've done my fair share but ALOT of the people that duel at these levels are complete noobs. You have plenty of time to PvP, get some more experience under your belt.<div></div>

I recently did this with my monk, locked him at 24 after i got windwalk and master 2 grappling bear, using all adept 3's, and 170 str, i was able to easily kill anything (except bruisers), that were up to level 27ish, and scouts i could take out up to 29-30, although i was twinked, i found a suprisingly large amount of other twinks running around that could actually put up a fight, but all the killing i did was in CL, and the only way to find people on a regular basis w/o track is just to run around Nekstation, Freep station or WC, and doing this solo is basically shouting, "Come kill me, i want to die!". Usually i got 5 or so kills, then i got [Removed for Content] by 2 full groups, or a couple level 30-32 freeps, which then proceded to constantly camp me. It was fun, but after realizing i had just put 5p into a character i wasnt planning on moving anywhere, i decided to unlock, and so far it has been fun. I figure, as long as you are twinking yourself as you go, you can probably do well at any level. If you do twink yourself out as a locked monk, expect to be a god though, which is fun, but boring after a while (at 24 taking out 5 20-22 freeps solo is just alot of fun).<div></div>

<div></div>I disagree with adam's statement, alot of high level people are creating 20's tunes just because at these levels you can Always find a fight  in either ant or in CL, and from my experience, hunting in CL in the teens and 20s has been some of the best pvp i've ever had, (coming from an avid player of DAoC), nothing like those huge group on group battles outside griff stations.<div></div><p>Message Edited by Xelnok on <span class=date_text>07-24-2006</span> <span class=time_text>07:39 AM</span>

The people who think like this are the same people who are crying later about how they are soooo far from having enough faction to get gear from pvp merchants. I started pvping both of my toons around 20, but with the new pvp gear I would probably start at 15ish on a new toon. You want to be twinked try buying fabled  and legendary items for less than a gold...
