1.5delay is about the fastest you will find. (I think 1.4 is fastest). You really want to look at damage ratio. The higher the better

I prefered fist wraps for the earlier levels. Quite a good delay on them, especially for a monk, because of a monk's self haste. (FYI, I would read the Monk FAQ that is stickied at the top of the forum.) However, as I reach 40, I've decided to go with a 2-hander as my primary for questing and soloing and tanking and keep my Dual Wield cestii as alternate weapons for (occasional) raids and when I am group DPS. The reason? Ripostes and reactives. If I'm attacking a lot, I'm getting riposte-, reactive-, and proc- (the enemy's) checks... a lot. Probably a more extreme example, but this was highlighted for me when I went to kill the monks for 'Teachings of Yoru' (FBSS) Heritage Quest, I could not complete that portion in time solo with my 2x t5 Legendary Crafted Cestii (made for my by a great guildmate). I would run low on health and power and have to wait. I say this is an extreme example, because the monks you fight riposte a lot, so you essentially beat yourself to death on them when you DW (Dual Wield)... a lot of damage from ripostes. So then I whipped out my big 2-hander and I trounced them all with time and health to spare (5 mins to kill 11 white-yellow, solo-con mobs). I could have just gotten a lucky streak across 11 monks (including the master), but I think it had more to do with the ripostes. There was also an instance that should have clued me in when I was questing in my 20s where I had to kill the Unkempt druids (16 heroics). I could not get close to beating them when I was DW. Then I happen to look at a couple of them and guess what buff they had on them? That's right, thorns (reactive damage shield). So all my many hits were hitting me right back with some damage, that added up in a big way over time. I switched to a 2handed staff, and (barely) beat them.I say have fun looking pretty with fistwraps or cestus or cestii in your early levels or when in the DPS role in a group or a raid (because they do actually do more damage), but for questing (soloing), and when you are tank to a group, have a high delay, high damage 2-hander to save yourself some bruises and the healer some heals. It's just another tool in the bag.X
