Monk races?

I have a lvl 12 Kerran Monk on Nagafen. I really like the Monk class, but after I was ganked 100 times in the Forest Ruins, I'm not a big fan of PvP now. I tried out a few other classes but I decided Monk is my favorite. I'm pretty sure I'm going to reroll another Monk on a regular server (not sure which yet). I'd really like to make an elf, but they have lower strength. Will this make much of a difference or can I even out her strength with armor and be perfectly fine? Thanks for any input!

You'll either go for strength or agility.Barbarian monks have higher strength, kerran monks have great agility.<div></div>

Agility is insane, don't ever pick anything (including race) based on agility.

ya, pretty much disregard almost anything anyone says, only answer to the question is this.. Iksar. Iksars not only look badass, have the best background story, and are the most eye-catching of all the betrayers, but they get some nice stats all around, plus the skills you get as you level up help in both your str/agility and also tailoring if you wanna make your own equipment.. Iksar FTW! <div></div>
