It's well worth upgrading as high as you can afford. I was lucky enough to nab the master 1 version of it but if I hadn't I would have made it adept 3 as soon as I could. The amount of damage you can absorb increases tremendously and though some might say you can't absorb nearly 5k damage before the ward expires, I've had plenty of times in normal groupings where it came in very handy on a bad pull. <div></div>

I just upgraded mine.  Honestly in the end I think its worth the upgrade.  Just go mining for a week and you should get a few rares.  Upgrading all your skills really does impact the playability of you monk.  Its amazing sometimes how a worthless ability turns into a life saving ability at one point in time or the other.

It's not only useful on raids but in a couple higher level zones as well.  Good resists and Outward Calm in Vaults of El'Arad makes monks a great tank option there.  It's also useful in duels and in any encounter that has a damage shield. <div></div>
