To paint the picture its the gi you get with your AQ now when you start out at lvl 1 and just about every gi you will find.Do you guys like it? I think its terrible and still cant see why SoE uses it on almost every gi, its just awful looking.Anyone else think SoE should change it.

My whole opinion on the matter is.. if you are going to have it bare chest, then have it bare chest. If you want it covered, then cover it. This halfway wrestler reject stuff is just plain bad.. it's just bad.. It's just another copy and pasted look, ala weapons and other armor classes. All we can hope for is new looks in the future.

Personally I'd rather my human female monk wear the Cross-Bra and Tattoo look from EQlive, but I enjoy the Gi graphic in this game.

I personally hate that Gi design on females. the pajama bottom loungy pants and teddy look jsut do not fit my idea of a monk. I swear i have apair of pants I sleep in that look jsut like those. "it says i can fight or just lay around...bleah). Not to mention th elegs are stiff and move in a very unrealistic way. not so bad on plate armor that youwould expect to be stiff but pagama bottoms should not look liek stiff tubes that bend at the nee and the butt and thats it (this may be exacerbated by the fact that i use soga on many models). And whats with the no shoes? its fine on the more animal classes but looks silly on my elves to be running around barefoot.

I much prefer the starter bruiser gear that gets reused a bit or the "sports bra" look personally. of course for some reason in SOGA the puffy pants of the bruiser starter turn into skin tight leggins with a freaky pattern, so I play a model I can stand to look at in normal mode, but its still better than the old reused way too much look of the GI.

I really really like the first pic, its what the starter bruiser gear looks like except theirs shoes no shoe graphics for some reason. If they had more of this style gi in different colors id be one happy puppy.

Message Edited by VengeanceRose on 04-13-2006 05:25 AM

I like the way the Gi's look on female characters. That said none of the gi's look like what an actual martial arts gi would look like, save maybe the pants.

i really wish people would stop calling them gi's. Gi's are not bare chest, nor do they look like a wrestler costume. true martial arts gi's covered the chest and are what youd see on the average karate uniform. Personaly i want a Gi that makes me look like i know kung fu, not mucha lucha

It's a fictional world where what the developers say, goes. If 2 + 2 = Fish, then so be it.

I've been saying for a while that diff graphics styles would rock. That goes for all armor tho, not just the gi's.

I'de like to see them create a new Gi design that is crafted by tailors--and once every ten levels they get an imbuing-type recipe that dyes the Gi a new color and gives it a new minimum level. That way, at a glance you can see what level range a monk is in and because its a new graphic the people with fabled Gis still have a level of uniqueness to them.

IF they ever make crafted gis they need to have the lvl 20 AQ appearance, not a new and unique one.
