Hi there,

I’ve been playing EQII since January now and after trying out a few different classes I feel that I’m finally settling down with my Monk. I am mainly a soloer and am looking for a pretty even balance between DPS and Survivability. I’m obviously concentrating on STR as my main stat, STA coming in second and WIS just below STA as my order of importance. From what I’ve gathered so far AGI isn’t worth concentrating on due to us already being very good at avoidance and the points you put into the stat doesn’t warrant the small outcome you recieve.

My main problem at the moment however is that I’m still very unsure on the importance of INT. I’m presuming that our punches and kicks and such like don’t count as spells and therefore INT doesn’t affect them sort of moves at all? It’s just STR that affects those kind of moves, right? If I’m right in thinking that then what moves does INT actually affect? Is it worth paying any attention to it? (keeping in mind that I’m mainly a soloer)

If someone could give me the lowdown on exactly how important INT is to a Monk it would be greatly appreciated. Cheers J
