Awesome guide. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />
Thanks, but its just a start really. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> It will require the monk community to contribute to it in order to become a more comprehensive guide. <div></div>

Weapons are LORE and the Gi is NO-TRADE? So, when it finally drops everybody has to decline or you'll never get it? That sucks. <div></div>

<P>I may be barking up the wrong tree here, but why on Earth would a Monk want to kill these Ashen Order Monks?!?! is it not wise to keep good faction with them? Surely a better idea would be to put in a series of quests hunting the enemies of these Monks and have these weapons and armor as rewards.</P> <P>Tiao</P>

<div></div><div></div>Can anyone tell me what purpose it is to have good faction with the Monks? AFAIK, only one quest required me to go there (and I've done that). Another question then, I'm a ways from 54 as you can see from my sig. But since these guys are 57 ^^^ what level of a group is needed to take them out without wiping a few times? I ask cause right now my guild member levels are as follows (give or take) for 45+ are: 50+ 2 45-49 4 We're not a raiding guild or anything so levels isn't a big push, but I still would like to get this Gi <span>:smileyhappy:</span> <div></div>
<DIV>Why on earth would you want to wear or use these items, apart from the good look which inicidently is how a Monk should look. By the time you reach these astronomical level requirements to wear/use you will surely have an equivalent item which beats it hands down.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Can anyone actually name some loot which drops from a single group encounter, which you would actually choose over some player crafted equipment.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It seems, that the only stuff you'd want to use, drops from epic x 2-4 mobs which for alot of people is totally out of thier reach, even then i have seen total junk drop which no one wants and gets cast into the guild bank never ever to be used.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>what the hell is SOE thinking? Apart from good looking items make items worthwhile you fools!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>/rant off</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Tiao.</DIV>

Those are the treasured drops there very well may be a master drop containing better fabled quality loot. Although with the itemization at release its probably not likely.

<P>haha yes it looks very nice, sorry for the misinformation not enough coffee yet this morning :p</P> <P>I usually run around in the Gi and wear it unless soloing tough mobs or tanking..then alas back to the uber fury look. Upgrading to t6 scaled at least should give a different look, would be nice <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>btw...thanks Brice for posting us up there, thumbs up!</P>
Deathspell and Kaleyen, the Ashen Order and the Ashen Disciples have a quest series of their own. You can find out more information about the Ashen Order quest in the thread <a href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=6&message.id=21687" target=_blank>Guide to Ashen Order Quests</a>. Tiao, I agree <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />, I'd rather see more quests available to Ashen Order and Ashen Disciple people that rewarded monkly items. However, in the absence of any such quests, and having completed the Suffix title quest, there is no known reason to retain your faction standing with them. Also, in order to reach max ally with one faction (which you need to do to complete the Suffix title quest) you <b><u>must</u></b> kill some members of the opposing faction. So, if you're doing the Ashen Order quests for example and you're at the point where you need to kill Ashen Disciple to reach max ally status with Ashen Order, you might as well try to pop a named Ashen Disciple while you're killing them for faction. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Like Xxooo-Coav pointed out, the Gi of the Ashen Disciple is tradeable until its attuned and I forgot to take a picture of it until after I attuned it. I've edited the original post to clarify that. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Like Gungo pointed out, so far we've only seen the common drops from these nameds. While we have no gauruntee that they do drop any rare items that are higher quality, we won't know for sure unless a Dev posts about them or until lots of monks have killed them lots of times and never receive anything better. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Thanks again everyone for the feed back... now get out there, get your Suffix title done and start killing some named monks! <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>

Your idea about dying would be great, and I would also love to see rare craftable gis at each tier go into the tailor books, as has been mentioned many times before on these boards. While they are resurrecting ancient clothing skins, they could add the old bruiser AQ chest as a 'new' looted armor appearance for brawlers as well.

<P>Thanks for this info - I killed all the placeholder groups, and a few more placeholder respawns before Wei Chu appeared. <DIV>the rujarkian gi imo is way easier then gettin a ashen disciple....every 40 mins a name will spawn and you can easily solo it and have a chance for the gi while its not guaronteed youll get a gi, you are a guaroteed a chance. with ashen diciple you need a group and you gotta work to spawn the name and theres no guarontee it will spawn, for me it took 3-4 hours of killing placeholders just to spawn the name then another hour to get help to come and help me kill it for the gi, it was a real pain in the [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]. for farming the rujarkian you just sit there and pick your nose and every 40 minutes you get a decent chance at it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>either way though there both really easy to get, and the stats reflect that. i think it would be pretty much pointless to upgrade the ashen deisciple, while it might deserve slightly better mitigation then the rujarkian its still gonna be crap and just good for looking cool.</DIV>

<P>thats from a level 60s point of view by the way...</P> <P>if you want to compare difficulty for a level 51 trying to get a rukarkian vs. a level 54 trying to get a desciple then there pretty much equal both will require a group and it will come down to luck.</P> <P>desciple is all luck on getting the name to spawn and requires work to do it.</P> <P>rujarkian is luck on which of the 3 names pop every 40 mins(annhilator seems to be the most common though) and the drop. and requires very little work.</P>

<div></div>Who drops 'Shoes of the dark disciple' and the dark disciple shoulder piece?
All Dark Disciple gear drops in Gates of Ahket Aken. None of it drops of the Ashen mobs. You should check out the <a href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=6&message.id=26621" target="_blank">T6 Fabled/Legendary Brawler Loot - Updated & Compiled List</a> thread before asking about any T6 legendary/fabled gear, as that stickied thread more than likely has the answers to your questions. On the topic of sticked threads, you should check out the others as well as they provide answers to questions that many younger generation monks ask. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>
