<DIV>Is there a way to tell what your "fighting style" will be with a particular staff?  I've only been back in the game a couple of weeks (gone since a couple of months after release) and I remember there were 2 styles when it came to staves, the fancy martial arts style and the caster "swinging a big stick" style.  Is this still the case, and is there a way to tell which one you'll use?</DIV>

Generally, a "bo staff" will have the fancy combat, and any other staff will have the "bonk them on the head" staff animations. <div></div>

<DIV>bonesbro's right, bo stalves have the fancy animation.  Generally, the low delay weapons count as "bo staffs" so if you find a two handed weapon that has a substantial delay, chances are that it is a big stick and you'll end up bonkin the mobs in the head.</DIV>

Ah - good point.  Every bo staff that I know of has a 1.7 delay.  I don't know of any staff in the game that has a delay other than 1.7 which uses the bo staff animation. <div></div>
