Yep. In fact, that's the only way to become an Iskar Monk.

Yes. I recommend taking betrayal quest at 15. No earlier, no later. Its *BEST* started at 15. After 17, you cannot get the quest anymore is my understanding.

I started it at 14 on my enchanter.

Is it safe to say that before 16 you can pretty much count on needing help to complete the betrayal quest? I know I had one heck of a time just getting out of Freeport as a 16 Troll predator. I kept getting eaten before I could talk to the second quest NPC in the sewers, as my stealth wouldn't work on the yellow ^ group mobs along the way. <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Now, at 17, he just has to kill like 250 more gnolls and some group-required named gnolls in Antonica. :smileytongue:</DIV>

When I betrayed my Ogre Berserker I couldn't fight my way to the second quest NPC either.  I just ran, training the mobs to the room.  There are some Guards (of a Trader of some kind if I recall correctly) who will take out those mobs once you get to the far side of that room. I'll also second xripperx's comment: you can't solo the named mobs.  In fact, my advice is to seek out groups to kill the named mobs as soon as you're told to.  You can solo gnolls while you find the groups.  Otherwise you'll wind up (like I did) having killed 500 gnolls but more frustrated getting the nameds because it can be difficult finding groups to help you. <div></div>
